Why? If you were receiving the highest military honor you would turn it down because you disagree politically with your commander and chief?

What an incredible contradiction this photo represents.

Well done, Staff Sergeant. The finest example imagineable of American exceptionalism, and real courage and humility. Great people don't have to tell you how great they are. Obama could learn a thing or a hundred from this guy.

Honestly, I think that's really sad. That's why I said it was a crock of ****, not that I didn't believe you. Actually, I think it's more or less dispicable.

If that's how you feel about it, that's how you feel.
Really though... and bear in mind I am no fan of Obama by any means... I think it is sad that you chose to sully a thread about a living soldier receiving the MoH with raw partisanship. Bash Obama to your heart's content in other threads, but in my opinion chosing to do so in this thread was in very poor taste.

Why because I believe that Obama despises this country and the greatest it stands for. He is out there making excuses to the world for how America became great. The military is a large part of why this country has achieved her greatest. Thus I believe Obama despises the very reason I joined the military to serve my country. He serves it for the greater good of Obama and his party. Most vets served her for the greater good of all Americans.

I mean no disrespect to the troop but I believe just like him, I fought for the freedom of speech, which you might not like it but it is still my right even though you may disagree. Freedom sometimes means you have to put up with someone elses.

The partisanship on this board, could not even halt itself for a SECOND to honour this guy who did a pretty amazing thing.

All of you who brought Obama into this should be ****ing ashamed of yourself.

Bush, Obama, Reagan, Kim Jong Il, who ****ing cares.

This guy did an amazing thing, lets talk about that.

The rest of you, please, think before you post.

I didn't say you should be forbidden or prevented from expressing yourself as you did.

I said it was in poor taste in this context, in my opinion. I think it would have been much more appropriate if you'd begun a seperate thread about the issue you would have with recieving a medal from Obama's hands.

But as I say, that's JMO. Carry on, soldier.

You think you could at least get the name right.
