The Makeout Hobo is real, and does indeed travel around the country in his van and make out with ladies... If you meet the Makeout Hobo, it is customary to greet him with a shot of whiskey and a high five (if you are a dude) or passionate makeouts (if you are a lady).

The state law mandates a special election. If the governor won't allow it to happen, the GOP should challenge the noncompliance with state law, not the state law itself...

I asked a question-I was not aware that questions required footnotes to primary sources. But if you want to deny that the left supports affirmative action or makes excuses for the abhorent rates of black crime go ahead and I will proceed to pick your response apart and leave it rotting in the sun for the vultures of truth to feast upon

I'm not sorry, and its the same reason most people dislike him as well.

Ever hear of a rhetorical question? I am not the one making the complaint, but of course he repudiated those positions. Heck, I have had positions from when I was younger that I no longer associate with and have repudiated. So, it is ok for Byrd to repudiate past positions and get forgiveness yet Thurmond, who repudiated many of those positions DECADES AGO still gets lambasted with them... oh, it is surely because he left the Democratic Party (when he publicly held those offensive positions) and joined the Republican Party...

I have been looking online and haven't been able to find a single source where Strom Thurmond apologized or declared he regretted his earlier views. On the other hand, I've found sources claiming he never publically apologized. In contrast, Byrd flat out said that joining the Klan was the biggest mistake of his life. I will change my sig to anything you want for a week if you can find a place where Strong Thurmond publically apologized for his views during the 1948 campaign
