FWIW, it sounds like she did make some sort of report at the time, but then said she didn't want to go forward with the case for whatever reason.
Learn to read the thread before posting. Whether or not you or I think there's anything there has no bearing on the fact that for better or worse, this is noteworthy.
If you're so unhappy that this is being treated as news, why not type up a letter of complaint to the NYT and let them know how you feel?
Maybe it would be more apparent in a different article - but I read and gathered that the original report was filed in 2006 but that doesn't detail when the unwanted activity took place.
