Juanita Broderick told friends right away of the rape...but it didnt come to light til years later. Considering Slicks history...its not unreasonable to believe it happened.

that the woman came forward right away is telling. That she didnt pursue a criminal case could have been the result of any NUMBER of reasons...from the very selfish (she just wanted a civil payday) or froma more practical (the police told her it would be difficult to prosecute...Gore was too popular especially in a state like Oregon...etc). none of that means it DIDNT happen. And of course now we know Gore was banging more than Tippers gong (and MAYBE he wasnt even banging hers...). And just like the Slickster its entirely likely that we may find MORE Goracle babes. Hell, there are enough mindless people on the left that have kneeled and swallowed everything else he fed them...
Let's please try to avoid discussions of the Clintons in this thread.

Eeesh. The whole story seems a bit strange - her lawyer went to the police in 2006 to complain of a sexual assault, but never did anything about it. Then she herself talked to the police in 2009, but the police never went forward with it. Now in 2010, she's...doing what exactly? It's not clear what precipitated this story.

Either way, the National Enquirer once again breaks a story. Pretty damn impressive.
    eh.......buncha crap, i think.

That's what everyone said when they broke the Edwards' story. They made the lamestream press look pretty foolish on that one.

To clarify, the existence of the complaints was first publicized by the National Enquirer. The local PDs have since acknowledged that the complaints were indeed filed and have even released the documents themselves.

Learn to read the thread before posting. Whether or not you or I think there's anything there has no bearing on the fact that for better or worse, this is noteworthy.

If you're so unhappy that this is being treated as news, why not type up a letter of complaint to the NYT and let them know how you feel?
Maybe it would be more apparent in a different article - but I read and gathered that the original report was filed in 2006 but that doesn't detail when the unwanted activity took place.

Former Vice President Al Gore was accused of "unwanted sexual contact" by an unidentified woman in Portland, Ore., in 2006, according to local law-enforcement officials, although no criminal charges were filed.
A screaming comes across the sky.
It has happened before, but there is nothing to compare it to now.

I suggest you read her statement before pooh poohing her claim. If she is correct, he did a lot more than just "touch" her.

I read the article. It says "unwanted touching".

I also read how she refused a criminal investigation because she wanted to sue him for money instead. THAT is all I need to know about her right there. That is enough for me to call ****ing bull**** on any goddamn thing she says.

Gore Accuser Paints Picture of Erratic, Forceful Man | ThePortlander

"VP Gore asked the woman to massage his buttocks, inner thighs and abdomen during the scheduled 90 minute massage.

She says that during the massage, Gore began to moan in a sexual manner while asking her to move her hands closer & closer to his genital region.

When she stopped, he allegedly became angry & yelled at her before grabbing her hand & shoving it under the sheet covering his naked body, resting it on his pubic region.

After the first incident, the accuser was able to get back to a normal massage routine which she finished without further incident.

However, as she was packing up, she says Gore embraced her, grabbing & rubbing her butt & breasts.

She told police that she recalled feeling VP Gore sexually aroused.

After getting away from this physical embrace near the exit of Gore’s hotel room, the woman continued to pack up when Gore summoned her to the bedroom.

She states that she reluctantly went with him where he soon after grabbed her & forced her to her back on the bed.

He allegedly straddled her, asking for sex.

From there, she claims that VP Gore assaulted her one final time as he physically embraced her again, rubbing her bottom, chest, thighs and pubic area.

She says that she was finally able to convince Gore that she was not going to have sex with him and then left his hotel room at 1:30, two & a half hours after first entering Gore’s hotel room.

At home she called a friend to tell of her experience and later noticed that her pant leg contained stains in the area where Vice President Gore pressed himself against her. She saved the pants, without cleaning them."

    I aint sayin...Im just sayin...
