Epidemic' growth of Net porn cited

The best part about internet porn is that it seems to have made half the population professionally dysfunctional. There's less competition at work because the weak-minded barely leave their darkened bedroom. LOL

It probably accounts for 1/4th of the unemployment problem.
 
Typical. People who want the government to parent their children for them.

You know, people who are for this kind of **** should have their kids taken away from them. If they're that inept that they cannot monitor their child's internet activities, then they shouldn't be raising children. Either that, or they should be forced to take a class on HOW to monitor their kids internet activities.

Anytime anyone says "We need govt regulations to get rid of xyz so my kids won't be exposed to it", the men in black should come out and cart them off to parenting classes.

EDIT: And I've been wanting to go to a furry convention for years because I think it'd be a ****ing hoot. I think I would spend an entire weekend laughing my ass off. But I can't get anyone to come with me. :(

I have an idea. . . instead of policing the internet to make it safer for children how about we just remove adult-access to the internet?
I mean, if all these horrible things are on the net because adults put them there then surely if you remove the source you neutralize the problem, yeah?

If we gave the net over to children and banned adults from using it i wonder what would become of it :D

Ok - see - that's how stupid I think the whole idea of government regulation is.

Sidenote - this thread is good for a laugh. It's always humerous to see how adults react to the more unsusal side of porn and fetish when they first become aware of it. They're like kiddies in a reptile house at the zoo. "EWWW!"

LOL "Jesus on a cracker" - on a different forum there was a huge issue surrounding that term. We had to compile a list of alternative terms instead of that and then have everyone on the forum vote on it.

"**** on a shingle" and "Chuck Norris on a Silver Platter" won out.

I read in wired years ago that porn makes up 75% of the internet, and that without the porn, the Internet would never have made it.

Hey, I've got an idea. How about we lock up all the sicko perverts on the Internet and throw away the key? Problem solved.

My kids' right not to be exposed to sick porn trumps so-called "free speech for furries."

So, police your kid's internet access. Problem solved. If you can't do that, then that's YOUR problem, not mine and sure as **** not the government's.

And hey, you know what? There isn't a right of "not being exposed to nekkid bodies". Whatever it is that you don't want your kids exposed to, it's YOUR job to monitor that. Stop trying to have other people (the government) raise your kids for you.

I don't have a problem with nudity. I do have a problem with obscenity. And since the LAW is on my side, that makes it YOUR problem, not mine. The OP is about enforcing current laws, not creating new laws. So once again, if you don't like the law, or think the Internet should be exempt, that's YOUR problem.

I don't need the government to raise my kids. I do, however, unfortunately, needs laws to protect my kid from predators, perverts and sickos who think that anything and everything should be easily accessible on the Web.
