Mexico teen killed by US Border Patrol, anger high

Okay.

A buddy of mine was nearly killed by a flashlight.

The liberal media would make a huge issue of it had we shot him. Which we would have been legally allowed to do.

Different situation. I wouldn't have made any issue of the guy who hit your buddy with the flashlight being shot.

As, If I it someone in the head with my flashlight or baton, it is considered lethal force.

And if someone uses a rock as a bludgeon, that should always be worthy of lethal force in return.

When it comes to non-firearm weapons, the public, you included, are clueless as to how lethal certain objects can be. That, and the media just loves to under-report the threat of the item in the manner it is used, well, as long as the police aren't using it that is. Because If I was beating someone with a flashlight in the head, you damn well better believe the media would report it as a serious incident of a rogue cop trying to kill someone. Hell, that would happen if I went to hit a guy in the common peronial nerve and the idiot stuck his head down there in the middle of my swing and I wasn't able to adjust fast enough and he got struck.

Again, this isn't about using a rock as a bludgeon.

So, you disagree with the Border Patrol, U.S. Department of Justice, etc that rocks can be considered lethal weapons.

No. That's an oversimplification and requires one to purposefully ignore the actual arguments that have been presented.

No more blather. Its gone on long enough.

On the point Tucker, we don't agree on this so lets leave it at that.

Except that if you bothered to read rather than crap up the forum with your baseless bloviations, you would see that I have defended my position against other posters of some merit to this forum. You just happen to not be able to count yourself among that number.

Actually I was responding to when you attacked Mr V and provided no insight to the debate itself.

But fortunalty you didn't dissappoint and ran from actually debating the OP.

Too ****ing Bad. You are wrong.

The two situations are not even comparable. You are still trying to defend something that is indefensible. Too ****ing bad. You are wrong.

Blah blah blah...did you have something to actually contribute to the thread or are you just going to menstruate all over this one, too?

And you are being your typical dishonest self...I did debate the OP. You are lying. As usual.

I believe thats exactly what I asked you. Care to debate the actual OP? What law did the border patrolman violate?

The problem with that is the BP doesn't allow warning shots to be fired.

Why the BP removes this ability form their agents, I do not know. Seems like a silly ban and it adds to the danger their agents face, IMO

Because the bullets from warning shots have to go somewhere.

And it's useful to keep pointing this out...

Don't throw rocks at dudes with guns. It doesn't matter where you are or what time it is

MMO beta's suck.
Fify. ;)

Good games (slightly old) -

Gran Turismo 4
Burnout Revenge
Urban Chaos: Riot Response
Max Payne 2 (PC version, PS2 version sucks)
Metal Gear Solid (entire series)
Ace Combat Zero

Actually Jallman didn't qualify his comment that I responded to. It was a general comment stating rocks being hurled are not lethal weapons.

I agree there are situations where lethal force isn't necessary when dealing with someone throwing rocks. I can't immediately rush to judgement like so many here though.

Actually, jallman did qualify his statement with the comment that if rocks are being hurled from the other side of the border, retreat to a safe distance out of the rocks but within firing range of the border. Why do you feel the need to lie about what I said?

So the lethality of a rock depends on what side of the border it is on?

A police department and a border patrol are completely separate issues.

Regardless.... Everybody knows, if the cops gotta come and get you, the're bringing an ass kickin' with 'em - Chris Rock

When I served in the Marine Corps, we were trained that anything with some amount of mass can be used as a weapon. Like a rock, salt shaker, stick, bamboo, twine, nylon rope, pipe anything. With the proper amount of force anything can become deadly. The Border Patrol had the right to use lethal force, due to the fact they probably were ambushed to some extent and didn't possess the high ground so to speak, so they adapted adjusted quickly and won.

Right company, wrong game.

SC2 or Diablo 3...

Color me... apathatic. HOWEVER, I did love my C&C Generals Beta time so.. (I beat the Dev Team and they changed the rules cause of me mwahaha)

Never cared for C & C. It felt like Dune 2 without the coolness factor.

Why don't you try outrunning a thrown rock yourself before you make your judgment call. You weren't there, you don't know the details. Maybe his life was in danger, maybe it wasn't, but I'd still take his opinion over someone dictating from the back seat.

And again, you are lying about what I stated and the point I was making. When you decide to be honest in your approach to this discussion, let me know. Until then, you can join tex in the "worthless poster" pool. At least you have a shot of making it back out.

Did it all the time as a kid when we threw rocks at each other...till dad came out and whipped our asses for it. No, you don't have a point.

And that's the problem with police many times...the ass kickin' isn't even necessary.
