The liberal media would make a huge issue of it had we shot him. Which we would have been legally allowed to do. As, If I it someone in the head with my flashlight or baton, it is considered lethal force.

When it comes to non-firearm weapons, the public, you included, are clueless as to how lethal certain objects can be. That, and the media just loves to under-report the threat of the item in the manner it is used, well, as long as the police aren't using it that is. Because If I was beating someone with a flashlight in the head, you damn well better believe the media would report it as a serious incident of a rogue cop trying to kill someone. Hell, that would happen if I went to hit a guy in the common peronial nerve and the idiot stuck his head down there in the middle of my swing and I wasn't able to adjust fast enough and he got struck.

So, you disagree with the Border Patrol, U.S. Department of Justice, etc that rocks can be considered lethal weapons.

Too ****ing Bad. You are wrong.
When I served in the Marine Corps, we were trained that anything with some amount of mass can be used as a weapon. Like a rock, salt shaker, stick, bamboo, twine, nylon rope, pipe anything. With the proper amount of force anything can become deadly. The Border Patrol had the right to use lethal force, due to the fact they probably were ambushed to some extent and didn't possess the high ground so to speak, so they adapted adjusted quickly and won.

Climate, changes. It takes a particularly uneducated population to buy into the idea that it's their fault climate is changing and further political solutions can fix it.

Never cared for C & C. It felt like Dune 2 without the coolness factor.

Why don't you try outrunning a thrown rock yourself before you make your judgment call. You weren't there, you don't know the details. Maybe his life was in danger, maybe it wasn't, but I'd still take his opinion over someone dictating from the back seat.

And again, you are lying about what I stated and the point I was making. When you decide to be honest in your approach to this discussion, let me know. Until then, you can join tex in the "worthless poster" pool. At least you have a shot of making it back out.

Did it all the time as a kid when we threw rocks at each other...till dad came out and whipped our asses for it. No, you don't have a point.

And that's the problem with police many times...the ass kickin' isn't even necessary.
