Umm because Halliburton was the company that was working there at the time it exploded. :confused:
If any other companies were involved, of course they should be held responsible too. But BP and Halliburton (and possibly TransOcean) were the only companies who appear to have been responsible.

And, that is evidence of what exactly? Are you certain that Halliburton was the only service company working on the rig at the time?

I've heard several completely idiotic explanations of how this well blew out. I await with baited breath to hear your's. Please, by all means, grace us...

I didn't say it was evidence of anything. I said that it's BP and/or Halliburton's fault, which is true. Which one (or both), I do not know. You are the one foaming at the mouth to defend Halliburton for no discernible reason.

Read your posts? All I've seen in your posts is, "BP/Halliburton" and Halliburton is responsible, because, "Halliburton was working on the rig when it blew out".

Right. At least one of them is responsible. I haven't seen anyone else implicated, except for possibly TransOcean. I'm not sure why you're foaming at the mouth to demonstrate that it wasn't Halliburton specifically. Do you work for them or something? Own their stock?

According to you, no matter what, Halliburton is at fault too. And, you don't even have a clue about what went wrong. Yeah, It appears that I read your posts quite closely and most definitely comprehended your meaning. Thanks!

He should be above this, but he is taking a beating and this is all he knows what to do. Agitate.

That said, I didn't agree with the calls that he should be more emotional. I don't want bad acting... I want leadership... which he failed to produce. Now he looks like a puppet with the polls or press pulling his strings. He is grasping and it has made it worse, not better.

Engage Mr. President damn it... but it is too late. The damage is done.

He should have been more engaged, he should have done a better job as an executive. Instead he sends lawyers, he was detatched.
He should have cancelled his appearances at events, golf, and even vacation.
He should never have said he was engaged since Day 1... facts spoke clearly otherwise. Had he said he underestimated the potential... people would have understood it... but he tried to pull the wool over peoples eyes and that pissed off folks even more.

The Presidency is not a job you come to with the goal of learning how to lead. Or coming to office trying to transform yourself from an agitator to statesman. But it is what we have, and he is implementing what he knows... agitating... and his attempts at statesmanship have been as awful as his handling of this oil spill.

Hopefully America won't make the same fatal error next time. If we do... we're screwed.

YEAH, I'd say insanity is putting it lightly, the very day he uttered and claimed he was told by God to invade Iraq at the same time he was also already claiming he was hiding out in caves on the border of Paskistan and Afghanistan, seems to me God got the directions wrong and another thing , why didn't " God the Almighty " tell him exactly where Osama Bin Laden was hiding. This is the way Bush and God could have saved millions of innocent lives and the ancient history and property of the Iranian People....

This famous day he said God told him to go to war with Iraq, he should have been voted out of office, tied up in a straight jacket, strapped down on a table and rolled out of the Oval Office into a hospital emergency room, tested for drugs, and sent as quick as it is humanly possible to the best asylum the country has to offer and treated for his condition of Insanity !!!!
American today would be a lot Safer, Richer, Peaceful, and Better equiped to handle the Daily Conflits and Problem We Now Face !!!!

First off, that statement is an "allegation" and there is no proof outside of a quote from a Palestinian official that he actually said that. So that is up for debate. Putting that aside, you seem to misread the entire quote however, and assume that the quote implies Bin Laden was in Iraq, something the quote does not actually imply.

You then go on to say (and I quote) "This is the way Bush and God could have saved millions of innocent lives and the ancient history and property of the Iranian People...." I have to ask... what "ancient history" of the Iranian people has been destroyed due to this?

But this typography error does not include the statement made about Bush and God saving millions of innocent lives, ancient history, and property etc. ( of the Iraqi People ) correction made ...
Frist Off and by the way... Allegation or not, whether Bush made the statement or Not, this does not change the facts of all the innocent lives and the devastation, that is still going on in that country and Osama Bin is still out there somewhere spreading his gospel wherever and whenever he decides to do it , no matter where he's hiding ...

Anybody that claims "millions" of innocent lives were lost in Iraq is firmly entrenched in the absurdity camp.
 
This is a bad move for Obama, BP needs to be making as much money as possible so it can continue to pay for cleanup and damages. Instead of lifting the Jones act, which he is authorized, he is spending way to much time trying to bankrupt the source for reimbursment for this disaster.

He is a fool.
