Well, I am against laws that ban cross burning in and of itself. However, cross burning has typically become associated with the KKK. It's not exactly the same thing as burning a flag in my opinion.

Im more offended by someone burning the flag than burning a cross.
"I condemn the ideology of White Supremacy and Nazism. They are thugs, criminals, and repugnant, and are against what I believe to be "The American Way" "
Thus my obligatory condemnation of White supremacy will now be in every post, lest I be accused of supporting it because I didn't mention it specifically every time I post.

I'm not really offended by either. They are inanimate objects. The things that they represent should be more important than the object itself.

No....I didn't say that now did I? Just your twisting of the word. I do believe that more right-wingers however, claim to be "patriotic" when they really advocate against everything that the flag represents.....

And it cheapens the values and principles of this country to pay more respect to the cloth than to the things that the flag represents. Just sayin.....

If you want to burn YOUR flag on YOUR property, go for it.

If you want to burn YOUR cross on YOUR property, go for it.

If you burn someone else's flag or cross or on someone else's property, pay the penalty.

I don't think anyone here is really arguing that point. No one here is on the side of vandalism. This thread turned into a more broad discussion on the topic of flag burning in general.

    Your false assumptions mean nothing.

No one has made that claim that the flag is worth more than the principles.

As usual you make up an argument no one has made.

    ...and I'm saying, if it's yours, I don't care.
