IG report: Meth, porn use by drilling agency staff

WASHINGTON — Staff members at an agency that oversees offshore drilling accepted tickets to sports events, lunches and other gifts from oil and gas companies and used government computers to view pornography, according to an Interior Department report alleging a culture of cronyism between regulators and the industry.

Sounds like pigs and the White House should be looking at reforming the whole system and calling for some firing.

I came across a good website promoting a boycott of BP.

boycottbp.org

Looks like it's a good resource.

Also, the Trans-Alaska Pipeline, partly owned by BP, was shut down tonight after a crude oil spill.

What....croynism? Next they'll be telling us that cronyism exists in the economic markets as well. Like the regulatory committees not properly rating companies and things of that nature.

But seriously, can any of us be surprised? Maybe that's the sad state of the current world we live in that this is expected behavior. The government has long run itself like this and it's not limited to just oil.

Just wait until the government gets entrenched in healthcare. The corruption, side deals, favoritism, abuse and waste will dwarf this little Mini Dept.

.

Blah, blah, blah... stay on topic.

According to the article, this agency became totally corrupt in 2005. What do you think about that?

Hit a nerve I see.
Does it remind you of Kanuckistan's Waiting List System?

What do I think?
I think government is way too big, and a lot of these appendages need to be amputated.

I've already disproven this point in another thread.

Oh, and I'm sure deregulating the oil industry would've prevented this spill from happening.
