yeah, it sure beats having our people brutalized for months-what they actually did was take family members of the hostage takers hostage and chopped some of them up

Ronald Reagan was such a great president he started doing the job before he was even elected. That's commitment. Carter couldn't get it done, so Ron had to take control and do it for him.

I'm reminded of an experimental game-nation-simulation thing that was done. Beforehand, a personality test was given. People who scored high on the right-wing authoritarian scale were in one group. People who scored low in another.

The high scoring right-wing authoritarian group started a simulated nuclear war and killed everyone on the planet. 7.6 billion people.

There's little logic in the North Korean move here.

As tensions escalate, I hope that cool heads prevail, causing more bloodshed over this will not bring those soldiers back, and will ultimately result in more dead soldiers.

I don't know what the response should be, but, I sure as hell hope it's not war, which is kind of hypicritical of me to say, because if it was my brother, or son, or father on that ship, I'd wanna go up to the DMZ myself and start shooting...

But... no one is going to go to war... because... one word... China!
 
We have to remember that no Americans were killed in this attack, it was directed and affected South Koreans only. It is not the place of the US to make a policy decision for South Korea, it was their ship, their sailors, its up to them to make that decision, and perhaps consult our opinion and willingness to back them depending on what decision they make, then for us to support it. They are our ally and this ship sinking does affect our interests indirectly in Asia, but I believe South Korea should be granted the lead on making the decision on how to react to this.
 
why don't we lend Israel some passports, and they can take care of little kimmy il for us:)
