Obama didn't stump for Specter. Arlen had to depend on video clips from last year.

Meh, Specter has been a fairly reliable Democratic vote since he switched parties, so I wouldn't have been upset if he had won. I'm not going to shed any tears for his loss though. Sestak appears to be polling stronger against Toomey anyway.

I answered this post in another thread, but FWIW:

Obama didn't stump for Specter, he was forced to rely on video clips from last year when he jumped to the Democratic party.

Likely the reason why urban centers are rife with decay and corruption. Guess which party has had strangleholds on them for decades on end?

We shall see. Sestek winning is not good news for Repubs, nor was Paul winning in KY.

My take on this is twofold.

    1) You are seeing real Liberals and real Conservatives win the primaries, and not those who are going to cave into special interests, as Specter did, and also as Mich McConnell is doing (He supported Trey Grayson in KY).

    2) And the most important point? Voters are booting out imcumbents and establishment picks of both parties. They have had enough.

What we are seeing in both parties is one hell of a good sign, and shows me that there is hope for the future.
