    Moderator's Warning:
Blumenthal's words on Vietnam Service differ from History Hey, how about we talk about Blumenthal?
People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.

I don't expect you to understand this but, when I "looked" for proof of a statement I had seen attributed to Bush and found evidence that he may not have said it, I withdrew it. THAT is the difference between you and I.

Is that what I said This is another fav tactic of yours, misquotes and misdirections.

Your posts are overflowing with insults, especially when anyone disagrees with you.

    More insults
You are certainly confused and continue to be confused. it isn't an insult when proven wrong.

"Your" President promised to cut the deficit in half but instead has quadrupled it?

"Your" President promised the stimulus plan would cap unemployment at 8% and it is now over 10% including the discouraged. 11.9 million people were unemployed in January 2009 and it is over 15.2 million today. Govt. revenue continues to drop due to the failure to create jobs.

"Your" President promised to close GITMO within a year, that year has come and gone and another promise broken.

"Your" President has increased the defense Budget and has implemented the Bush Iraq policy. Another promise broken.

yes, ADK, "your" President is an empty suit and your claim that he is bringing honor to the WH says it all about someone out of touch with reality and someone who always calls presenting facts an insult.

It is this type of bold faced lying by politicians that eventually bring rise to new and progressive political movements and parties. I don't care which side of the rock you are on I joined the Tea Party Patriots for two reasons. First, sick of liars and second they are along the lines of my views and hopes for America and I hope real hard they become a powerful force of influence. If someone ojects to them I would suggest not going the route of the democrat party............especially now.
The most important insult of this lie is the 56,000 dead and quarter million injured who actuallly did go and paid the price. He must be made to apologize to every family here and in other countries that lost their children while he hid behind his mothers apron.

He's a politician, so yuo knew he was a liar before that.

What you didn't know was that he was a total douche bag liar who was actually worse than normal for a politician.

I agree that his political party is totally irrelevant to that, though.

he's shameless, but this isn't political.

It was political the moment he tried to lie about this in hopes of gaining a political seat by using the lie.

    It was political
    It was intentional
    It was despicable.

This character shouldn't be in charge of anything higher than what pump would you like that $20 on.....

I think this is really overblown. If he wasn't on record 90% of the time being accurate about his service that would be one thing.

But claiming he lied demands a conclusion that he knew what he said was wrong when he really did serve during the time period of Vietnam just not in Vietnam. But again since he is on record multiple times being accurate about his service, deception seems to be a very low probability.
