But Fieger said the video shows an officer lobbing the grenade and then shooting into the home from the porch. "There is no question about what happened because it's in the videotape," Fieger said. "It's not an accident. It's not a mistake. There was no altercation."

"Aiyana Jones was shot from outside on the porch. The videotape shows clearly the officer throwing through the window a stun grenade-type explosive and then within milliseconds of throwing that, firing a shot from outside the home," he said.

A&E spokesman Dan Silberman said neither he nor anyone else from the network would comment about the case, and he denied a request by The Associated Press for the footage. Detroit police were trying to obtain the film crew's footage, Assistant Chief Ralph Godbee said Monday.
So this attorney says that he's seen a video taped by network people following the police, but the police themselves haven't seen the video yet?
People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.

Since the network people are whores, my bet is that they are holding out for money.

    UPDATE:

Apparently it's on video, the officer fired into the home from the porch.
That officer better end up in jail.
This is sick... why would the cop have fired into the house before getting into the house??

I'm suriprised that the standard response didn't come up 'the camera was off'...

Well, I've been hearing lately about a bunch of swat teams doing drug checks, and whenever a dog would bark they'd shoot it dead... maybe this is how these swat cops escalate.

It's a sad shame what's happening to the country.

I like the whole "video of the siege contradicts the police account of what happened" thing. It really shows just how much you can trust cops. Look, they f'd up and then they sit there and lie about it to cover their asses. Pathetic. Who polices the police?

Probably because he had a serious case of nerves and job burnout. He needs to be fired and seek another line of work.

Well I think if what is all said here turns out to be true, that there should be criminal charges as well. It's not an "oh well, I'll try McDonald's" sort of thing. A girl is dead. A cop did it. If the depiction of the events is true as they say from the video...then the dude needs to go to jail for a little while. We'd throw a normal person in jail for discharging their weapon into a house and killing a child as a result.

I usually give the cops the benefit of the doubt but not this time. If you read the OP, this cop basically did the same thing the perp they were tracking. This guy should be formally indicted, charged, tried and convicted. It's inexcusable - a mistake cost a little girl her life. The cops of course will try to spin it so they do not look so bad however, Internal Affairs should be on this guy and so should the prosecutors office. No excuse - this guy has to go down and hard. He can think about his **** up for the next 20 years.
I think if Thomas Jefferson were looking down, the author of the Bill of Rights, on whats being proposed here, hed agree with it. He would agree that the First Amendment cannot be absolute. - Chuck Schumer (D). Yet, Madison and Mason wrote the Bill of Rights, according to Sheila Jackson Lee, 400 years ago. Yup, it's a fact.

True. Criminal negligence leading to a death? How does that sound?
