Holder Hasn't Read AZ Law He Criticized

I am sorry, are you saying his statement is true?

You think as well that Americans are cowards and racists?

Not all. I don't think everyone is the same or has the same views.

and you, my friend, lack the ability to read a post and follow a thread...

guess what, he's busy. He has people doing this for him, writing a report. There was some political posturing right after the law passed, but no one knows for sure how it's going to be used.... so...

but the OP is just another stupid hit piece from the far-righties looking to pull down all things Obama.

I swear people that obsessed have to be bothered by something more than his policies... could it be skin color??:cool:
It really is amazing how far down an angry little race baiting hole you are willing to go than to admit that the AG lecturing on a bill he is unfamiliar with and has not read is funny/embarrassing or odd in the least. Not surprisingly many left leaning pundits all across the country have been able to admit what you can't. It must be because of the color of his skin.

Keep playing your childish race goads and baits to go along with all your other goads and baits. To quote you making a amidst pure pose, you don't seem to realize that with overuse and misuse, they render any point you're trying to make meaningless...:rofl

holder is revealingly quick to go racial, too

Do you have credentials? If not, you cannot question The One. ^^^^^

;)

There wasn't enough light for Holder to read the law. It's dark up Obama's ass.;)

How many pages is the law, 10 to 15 depending on how big you print it? For God's sakes it's not the Health Care Bill. It could be read in about 30 minutes, quicker if you're a lawyer and understand the legalese.

Haha if you think that statement is untrue you are pretty stupid.

You were claiming it was me personally who would let it go if he was a republican.

Now who is the stupid one here?

And change your handle. The hypocrisy is getting too thick.

look, anyone hiding behind some charge of partisanship or post partisanship or bipartisan, or whatever

you really, in my ancient opinion, need to work beyond the petty little personalities that preponderate in chat rooms and forums and birthday parties and playgrounds

that's always such a narrow little, microscopic approach

THE POINT IS---obama's president

THESE POSITIONS we partisan peons are presenting and putting forth are PRESENT, they're PHYSICAL

that is, whether we (LOL!) make em or not, THEY'RE GONNA BE MADE

they're in POLITICO, they're on CBS, on CNN

they're lamented by the lady herself, THE TIMES

it's not about US

it's not about some stupid little GOTCHA in a CHAT

it's about THE PRESIDENCY

it's about the ATTORNEY GENERALSHIP

if they screw up, if they WHITEWASH fort hood, force and reject a SUBPOENA

if they must DISSEMBLE on ksm in manhattan

if they have to BACK TRACK away from miranda

from one offs, isolated extremists and really weird rushes to judgement that SYSTEMS WORKED

if one can't answer a simple who, when or where concerning the closing of gitmo

and the other can't remember that his ONLY answer to iran was some preposterous pledge to pow wow, sans preconditions

none of these PRATFALLS, these unmistakable indications of incompetence, has SQUAT to do or not to do with ANY of us, partisan or bi

in other words, grow up

don't be a personality whore

defend OBAMA

or righteously OPPOSE him

HE's the BIG GAME

ADULTS care about the BIG GAME

especially in TIMES LIKE THESE

and if you don't get this particular little message, I AND MINE are gonna STEAL that entire BIG GAME from YOU pronto

ADULTS ALWAYS WHOOP PUNKS

it's EASY

and, thanks to abc and wapo and the financial times of london, we, it's overwhelming, OWN THE LINKS

holder's an embarrassment, there's no defense

the marc rich pardon alone...

obama's a finger pointing, big shouldered PUNK from chicago

he's losing new york, he's losing the media, he's losing his big fat cat donors

he's lost our seniors, our independents, our suburban women (you want the links?)

enthusiasm among blacks and youths is seriously sapped

in short, he's the most incompetent politician at the national level modern america has yet produced

sorry, i guess

just look how cbs white house correspondent chip reid covers the little punk's "angry" address about the catastrophe in the gulf (finally) which is threatening to become not obama's katrina but his chernobyl

Angry Obama Seeks to Deflect Blame for Gulf Oil Spill Crisis - Political Hotsheet - CBS News

"I did not appreciate what I considered to be a ridiculous spectacle during the congressional hearings into this matter," he intoned. "You had executives of BP and Transocean and Halliburton falling over each other to point the finger of blame at somebody else."

President Obama may have decried finger-pointing today, but he also did a fair amount of it himself. Not only at the three companies, but at previous administrations.

Here's what he said today when he turned the finger at the federal government:

"For too long, for a decade or more, there has been a cozy relationship between the oil companies and the federal agency that permits them to drill. It seems as if permits were too often issued based on little more than assurances of safety from the oil companies. That cannot and will not happen anymore."

"A decade or more" clearly encompasses the Bush Administration, and may include the Clinton years too. But Mr. Obama's been president for nearly 16 months. Does he get at least a little piece of the blame?

Not a bit, he made clear. He portrayed his administration as valiantly fighting the good fight against the oil companies from day one:

"Now, from the day he took office as Interior Secretary, Ken Salazar has recognized these problems and he's worked to solve them. Often times he has been slammed by the industry, suggesting that somehow these necessary reforms would impede economic growth. Well, as I just told Ken, we are going to keep on going to do what needs to be done."

So while the president is pointing the finger of blame, he's also working hard to make sure that over time the finger doesn't do a 180.

The defensive tone was clear right from the top of his remarks today when he said: "The potential devastation to the Gulf Coast, its economy, and its people require us to CONTINUE our RELENTLESS efforts to stop the leak and contain the damage." (Emphasis added.)

cbs is certainly cynical, you must concede

It's good to know that you guys have read in full every law that you've criticized on these forums. It's also good to know that all criticism from the posters in this thread of laws that Obama and the democratic Congress pass in the coming years will be coming from people who have read the bills or laws before posting. Having such thorough, non-hypocritical posters is a boon to this message board :)

I don't think it is unfair to hold the ATTORNEY GENERAL to a higher standard.

Then you will not mine reading it to Eric Holder and explaining it to him.

This would be scandalous had this sort of thing happened to any one of Bush's AG's.....Now when brought up you get typical Allinsky attack, and ridicule instead of reasoned discussion.

So, Im confused on what Kernel Sanders is trying to get at...

Bill said:
B. FOR ANY LAWFUL CONTACT MADE BY A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIAL OR AGENCY
OF THIS STATE OR A COUNTY, CITY, TOWN OR OTHER POLITICAL SUBDIVISION OF THIS
STATE WHERE REASONABLE SUSPICION EXISTS THAT THE PERSON IS AN ALIEN WHO IS
UNLAWFULLY PRESENT IN THE UNITED STATES, A REASONABLE ATTEMPT SHALL BE MADE,
WHEN PRACTICABLE, TO DETERMINE THE IMMIGRATION STATUS OF THE PERSON. THE
PERSON'S IMMIGRATION STATUS SHALL BE VERIFIED WITH THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT
PURSUANT TO 8 UNITED STATES CODE SECTION 1373(c).

Is this the section that is supposedly "unconstitutional"????

That's what the left is saying. They believe that the "reasonable suspicion" clause legalizes racial profiling. I do not agree with this view BTW

Regardless, can I take the silence to mean that nobody found another part of the law which impacts the constitutionality of the above quoted section?

Well, Im not the one claiming it is unconstitutional, therefore, I won't be the one analyzing the document to find something unconstitutional. That is for the haters to do. :)

The only way I see that it's constitutionality can be questioned is the power that AZ has instilled in itself to deal with this issue.

Factually speaking - the Federal government is the one to rule and mandate all immigration issues.

thus - AZ needs to be certain they aren't doing anything that the Fed government won't allow.

I feel that they're within their means. Throughout the bill it references numerous Federal laws and regulations - no harm no foul. In the end Arizona still leaves it up to the Fed-jurisdiction who has final say over what happens to the illegals as how Arizona merely is determining who and how they're handed into federal custody - if at all.

They would have to read it first...... ain't gunna happen because then they'd have to lie about what they read and we all know they would never do that ..... it's easier not to read it and just spout nonsense.

Nonono, what they will do is ignore the fact that "reasonable suspicion" is a well used, and well documented legal standard that law enforcement have been operating with for decades and pretend that its so vague it means stopping every mexican kid they see. Then they cry RACISM RACISM RACISM!

And that always makes things go their way.

dhs napolitano---"the system worked" wonkette, ms "one off," the former gub of AZ---hasn't READ IT either

her embarrassing testimony in the senate:

RealClearPolitics - Video - Napolitano Admits She Hasn't Read Arizona Law But Says She Wouldn't Sign It

neither has crowley:

Breitbart.tv State Department Spokesman Critical of Arizona Law Admits He Too Hasn’t Read It

calderon clearly has:

Calderon hits U.S. from House floor - Kasie Hunt - POLITICO.com

how 'bout the time posner apologized "early and often" for arizona's action, cited as an example of "racial discrimination," while engaging in human rights talks with the most massively murderous regime in modern times:"

US Cites AZ Immigration Law During Human Rights Talks with China, Conservatives Call It An Apology - Political Punch

it only gets worse and worse

the most incompetent crew america has ever encountered

when is enough gonna be enough?

how much more can we take?

The media is pro-illegal, so one of Bush's AG's criticizing Arizona's anti-illegal immigration law without first reading it would not have been scandalous and Bush would be tossing Calderon's salad just as Obama did regarding illegal immigration.
