Highland Park High School Tournament over Arizona immigration law

Yet you are against a law that would actually DO SOMETHING to address the problem. If you are against a law that would do something about the problem, perhaps that means you support those creating the problem. Hence, the logical supposition that you are pro-illegal.

How about that people are against the Feds sitting on their asses and not doing it. Lets move in that direction if you don't want to spin the issue.

The Federal government has had decades to deal with this problem, and they have failed to do so. Allow me a question, where does the Federal government get their power? From the states? Or, do the states get their powers from what the Federal government decides they should have?

Read the Constitution, I'm not here to educate you on such basics.

How so?

Self explanatory.

Again, How so? and would you be so kind as to answer my question in the previous post? It was....

Asked and answered.

What is your objection to the Arizona law? Be specific please.

Asked and answered. Browbeating me because you don't like my answers is a waste of both of our time.

I am asking you to explain yourself. Why is it that you think it is ok to dodge a direct question? Are you afraid to answer it? What's the problem?

Is there some part of browbeating is ineffective on me you fail to comprehend? I answered your questions to MY satisfaction. Your satisfaction isn't my concern.

Then why are you here?

So are you saying that are are pro-small federal government, but pro HUGE state Government?

I don't mind a huge state government if that is what the people of said state desire. I also don't mind a small state government. Personally, my references lie in moderate state government and minimalist federal government limitted only to enumerated powers.

I'm in favor legislative diversity and dual federalism. I would prefer to see as high a degree of legislative diversity as their is philosophical diversity in this country.

Far enough. At least you, unlike most, are honest about it.

I would LOVE to see the Feds do something about this, but as they won't, the government of the State of Arizona has the right and RESPONSIBILITY to protect its citizens. If the ELECTED representatives of the citizens of Arizona have decided on this highly reasonable measure to do that, all power to them.

Certainly not to try to make the willfully blind see.

How 'bout you?

Willfully blind? Blind to what? Or better yet, is anyone who differs from your narrow viewpoint of political correctness, in your words, willfully blind?

It never ceases to amaze me that the very same types that railed for eight years during the previous administration against those that backed a conservative viewpoint as it is concerned in these matters reveal themselves as the closed minded individuals that they were then and now.

See, you think that because you can throw ad hominem attack out there, and refuse to discuss things in a civil way, instead resorting to pure, and transparent Allinsky method of argument, through distortion, ridicule, obfuscation, and attack that this type of childishness wins debates. It doesn't.

It does however, show exactly who you are.

It's not in Arizona's purview, it's a federal issue.
That is pure bull****.... show me in the Constitution where the Federal Government has the power or responsibility for who is allowed to live in what State. We are not talking about immigration, we are talking about an alien invasion.
I also understand the real nature of dogwhistle wedge issues. This is nothing more than state sponsored bigotry couched in legalese claptrap.

BUT..

If Arizona wants to be seen as the leading edge for extremist bigotry, that's just fine. Let 'em. Just don't piss and moan when the rest of us kick 'em to the curb. We have every right to express our disgust for their knuckledragging hate politics and boycott them.

The only people that think bad of the new Arizona law is a small minority ( 31%) that consist of the out of touch with reality “can’t we all get along” singing tofu eaters. You people are a disgrace, but thank you for showing your true colors….. November is going to suck for you.

That's the way the Constitution was written, then local people can decide how much of a Nanny State they want, and if the local State gets too intrusive they would have the option to move to a more agreeable State..... read the Constitution, you might actually learn something.
