Love the decision. Good on 'em.

Here's the thing, though. Because I'm an actual small government conservative I support Arizona's right to pass whatever laws/rules they deem fit. I also support areas on Illinois making the choice to boycott (more directly as well).

How many of the "conservatives" here are actually willing to take the same stance about a school in a state that has jack **** to do with them?
So you're for breaking the law. Got it.

You are for people being paid cheap wages because they are "illegal", you support the theft of SS numbers so illegals can "work".

You outta move down south where the problem isn't some forum discussion but a daily fact of life. Perhaps you'd change your tune, but I doubt it.
Climate, changes. It takes a particularly uneducated population to buy into the idea that it's their fault climate is changing and further political solutions can fix it.

I'm 100% in favor of breaking federal laws that are not within the purview of federal authority, yes.

I'm for states being able to decide their own residency and I would like to see federal laws that are not constitutional abolished. If the federal law is outside the realm of federal authority, it should be broken.

I prefer it if they use fake SS numbers instead of stolen ones.

Yeah, because Chicago has, like, way fewer illegal immigrants than most southern cities, right?

And Illinois isn't the state that has the fourth largest illegal immigrant population. 5th most per capita.

Hopefully they fire the idiot who made this decision and find a replacement who is more interested in doing her job than expressing her political views.

The problem is not the amount of illegals comparing Arizona to Illinois, it is the violence that comes with the border that is not in Chicago.

Why is that part always left out of the discussion where Arizona is concerned.

The left wants people to think this is about harrassing maids or dish washers but the aim is to get as many illegals out of the state before they can cause harm to legal residents.

Go live in Nogales Arizona for a couple of weeks and you will change your mind.

Why is the fact that I've already said I support Arizona's right to pass such legislation always left out of all of the big government leftists responses to me?

Are you saying that if I went to Nogales I'd be in favor of overturning such legislation?

That would be totally spot on if you had conservatives on here advocating the government to step in and force the school to attend the tournament.

Having an opinion on the dumbass decisions of the school and being for government expansion into the issue are two completely different issues.

Good point. Even though I was talking about supporting their right to make those decisions. Kinda like I support Arizona's right to pass dumbass legislation where the government steps in to prevent certain types of ethnic studies classes and Texas' right to pass dumbass legislation related to "librul" content in classes.

    But allow me to rephrase:

How many of the "conservatives" here support repealing Federal immigration laws and leaving such laws up to the states?

The tournament will go on. It is the kids who loose out. By them not coming do the parents really think the Govenor of AZ will unsign the Bill. Wonder what the kids will think of their parents if SB1070 makes it through the court challenges and is deemed constitutional?

I don't know what the parents will think, but I hope Arizona's legislation does make it through the courts and is deemed constitutional, myself.

Anything less would be the courts ****ting on the constitution, IMO.
