Students Wearing American Flag Shirts Sent Home

Why do some liberals hate the American Flag......Those kids did nothing wrong..My hat is off to them.........

Why do so many right-wingers disrespect the flag by making it into a fashion statement or piece of jewelry?

Has ANYONE noticed that no liberals here have supported this decision? Has ANYONE noticed that the poll shows overwhelming disapproval from both liberals and conservatives? Has ANYONE noticed that the only people saying liberals support this are conservatives and that no one can seem to find any liberals who support this?

Jesus guys, don't you EVER get tired of making stuff up and lying?
 
I've noticed a bunch of "liberals" defending the Mexicans who were whining about the fashion statements of others.

Why is that?
 
The reality is....the decision was wrong. But thse that are being blatantly dishonest and trying to spin this into something about not supporting the flag are just as bad. While I disagree that the students shouldn't have been sent home, they weren't sent home because they were being "patriotic" and displaying their respect for the American flag.

a) why do far-righties make moronic statements like "Why do some liberals hate the American Flag" They know liberals don't really hate the american. Nothing, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, in the story indicates that. Yet they insist on reducing every story to that notion--which is beyond ****ing retarded--IMHO.

b) how do we know what the kids did or didn't do

c) if three kids are going to get their ass kicked, then sending them home is probably a good move.... unless you have the National Guard on campus.

oh, and why do far-righties hate blacks and Mexicans?

That's one of the things that pisses me off about conservatives. I hate when the argument devolves to "you hate the flag and your existence makes baby jesus cry".

You know there's no point to discussion once it sinks to that level.

It's the equivalent of the liberal race card and "you hate poor people".

And so your siggy of a flag waving is what? Depicting it other than it's perfect stars and stripes to adorn your computer screen . . . same thing as body jewelry.

This 'ok-creative display' stemmed from the Supreme Court overriding the attempt to make burning the flag unconstitutional. Once they decided that was protected by the 1st amendment many people decided that if Asshole #1 could burn the flag then Patriot #1 could wear the flag so long as it wasn't offensively displayed.

And, thus, here we are - people showing their passion for their own country by wearing interpretations of the flag itself.

I see nothing wrong with it - not even your sig.

Liberals burn the flag all the time at rallys......The Principal of that school is a liberal.......

Its a non issue, I don't care what their reason is they should be allowed to wear a shirt with and American Flag on it period.....

I show my respect for the flag by wearing panties in a lovely stars and bars print. My navy guy loves them almost as much as the boy shorts with little anchors on them.

and i'm quite sure that just as many liberals have died for it as conservatives have, so they have just as much right to disrespect it by burning it as conservatives have by wearing it.

Do you have your proof that this is happening "all the time".

When I did a google search, Ron Paul said he could only find 16 recorded incidents in recent history. I found another source that could only find 4 recorded incidents of flag-burning.

So, if it's happening "all the time" at these liberal rallies you seem to be attending, why aren't you reporting it?

I would be willing to bet this is probably not true. The members of the military tend to be more conservative. Consequently, it seems logical that more conservatives.

I don't attend anti war rallies.......Unlike you I support the troops........I have watched Liberals like you burn flags many times on CNN and even burn a soldier in effigy.......Try again my left wing friend........
