NM Green Chili. (I know NM, but hatch > anehiems)
I don't put potatoes in my chili verde, and I roast my peppers in the oven on broil, but basically the same deal.

Ninety percent of Hispanics don't even know what Cinco de Mayo is based on.

    That's what sad.

Cilantro and lime is one of my favorite flavor profiles.

I order big jims and sandias from NM and flame roast em myself. also I like the potatoes as it gives the chili a bit more texture.

Oh I don't eat American tacos.... I make em authentic.....

    Tacos mexicanos de camarón

    I made these yesterday.

    Those look gooood.

We used to go get arrachera tacos at this place, we had to take a bus for miles to get to it, but it was SOOOO worth it. The tacos were awesome and I could never finish one myself, they were so huge.

Did you have the "Tacos de Cabeza"? YUMMMM....
    EEEWWWWWW no. LOL

Nope, that's tex mex. now there are stews that go by the name of "chili" but that refers to the chili peppers used in making these stews.
Yeah, I was disappointed about that too, because I LOVE chili. But the arrachera tacos made up for it.

Yeah there is a huge difference. My favorite region of mexican food is oaxacan.
I was only in the one part of Mexico, Manzanillo. (minus the day trip to Cancuun when I was on a cruise)

For instance, I've seen schools ban wearing of rosaries and other religious symbols because gang members were using them to identify their affiliation at school (rosaries in the color of the usually latino gangs, the six-pointed star of david used to signify folks affiliation).

If the school deems the attire disruptive to the school climate, and is able to show that this has been the case by documenting exactly how the garment or item has been disruptive, the school can ban the attire.

The rights of students to free expression is trumped by the need to keep the school safe, and that has been consistently upheld in court.
That's not the same thing. You would have a point if flag t-shirts were banned in the school, but they were not. Since the clothing is not banned, the reasons they wore perfectly acceptable t-shirts are irrelevant. The shirts were 'legal' attire in the school. If some 'latino' gets pissed about seeing an American flag, well... he can just get pissed and get suspended if he starts a physical altercation.

mmmm....carnitas tacos and tacos carne asada. Mmmmmmmmm.

There is chili, but it's not made with ground beef. Chili verde is a mexican pork stew cooked with green (usually anaheim) chilis. delicious.
Yeah, it's just not what *I* would call chili and I like our chili. LOL

Real Mexican food is about 10,000 times better than Americanized versions. And Mexican strip clubs have donkeys.
It is 10000 times better! But I didn't see any donkeys at the strip clubs. The main difference was that we were allowed to touch the girls.

We're not in disagreement. I'm just curious about the principal's mental reasoning. I strongly suspect that this is linked to zero tolerance idiocy.

I think many schools have adopted a policy of no pictures, or advertisements on shirts. Head bands have always been a no-no.
