The little mishap in the Gulf was caused by the failure to use proper back-up well shut-offs, and it's not sane to halt new drilling because old drilling failed to use established safety equipment.

Not to mention that the Messiah, Schwarzie's pal in Washington, already took the California coast off the "drill here" list because there's known to be plenty of oil off the shore of California. The Messiah doesn't want the US to stop funding his terrorist buddies in the Middle East by drilling our own oil instead.
Oh come on. Arnold love America just as much as the rest of us do, and your little rhetorical rant here belies the fact that, when Arnold was running for office, Republicans couldn't get enough of him, even turning their backs on a couple of legitimate Conservatives in order to support him so that he could defeat Davis. You guys got what you wanted, and reaped what you sewed. Please spare me the crocodile tears.

People that love America want her to get off her dead ass and stop suporting terrorists and socialists and dictatorships by buying their oil. The best way to do this is by using our own damn oil.

One can't claim to love the country and insist on positions that hold her prostrate before her enemies.

    Really?

And 20% of California voters supported Tom McClintock, American. It's not as if ALL Californians are stupid, it's just that there are so MANY stupid Californians that the candidates with American values can't get elected.

YOU aren't seriously suggesting that Mr. Arnold Kennedy got elected on anything BUT star-power and name recognition, are you?

Perhaps you don't recall the recall election that saddled us with Arnie. He got a plurality of the votes, not a majority, and that was out of sheer terror that one of the Mexican Mafia was going to be elected governor. That decision was essentially correct.

Regardless, the foolishness of the majority of California voters is legendary. Who else could elect a guy named "Moonbeam"? Well, actually, he earned that name, but Californians keep voting for his dumb ass.

If you knew about the election, you'd realize that it wasn't about defeating Davis, that was a separate vote. It was about keeping the Mexican Mafioso out of the governor's mansion.

    I did?

    I wanted an American.

Everytime I vote, I want an American to win. I haven't voted for a candidate that's achieved office since Reagan, because real Americans are hard to find.

Here's a newsflash for you. That will happen no matter what we do. Just timing is all. $10 gas is going to happen, too. The sooner the better.

In comparison to sending our money out to terrorist regimes in the Middle East, drilling may be a less dangerous option.
I don't disagree. I don't want it here (Georgia). The best solution? Just need and use less oil. Do you REALLY need an SUV?

Not driving an SUV doesn't help. With population growth, there still will be a growing need for oil that effects far more than just driving your vehicle. Prices of everything will go up with an increase of oil prices, since it is used to transport food, make fertilizer, make everything that is plastic, asphalt roads, roofing, tires, etc, etc. Oil touches every industry, every technology, every business, every home, and each and every one of us in one vital way or another, every single day.

But not driving an SUV will reduce demand, keeping prices low. Or more accurately, not driving millions of SUVs. The point is that there is room for eliminating waste.

    Schwarzenegger is a Kennedy.

Lol What does that have to do with anything? So the Kennedy's hate America, I guess Kennedy hated America so god damn much that they moved here, and settled here in the first place I love America, and I don't want off shore drilling off the gulf coast..... The Kennedy's love America just as much as other people do. Off Shore drilling is not going to be happening anytime soon, so get over it.
