Yes, I know - I'm guilty of asking adults to be mature and insightful while pondering the inner-workings of their world.

    I'm so ****ed.

Maybe, but then the United States would have demanded something be done, especially if the beating was at the embassy, which is considered US soil.

Yes - so at that I'm not balking.

Well yeah, but that's a different story. Chinese cops treat foreigners with kid gloves most of the time.

    It has so far.
I think if Thomas Jefferson were looking down, the author of the Bill of Rights, on whats being proposed here, hed agree with it. He would agree that the First Amendment cannot be absolute. - Chuck Schumer (D). Yet, Madison and Mason wrote the Bill of Rights, according to Sheila Jackson Lee, 400 years ago. Yup, it's a fact.

You are assuming they knew that.

Secondly, hardly a week goes by where there is not a story about Houston Police being investigated for beating someone who was not attempting to resist arrest.
Back that up with links or retract it.

There was yet another case of it just a couple of days ago, and it was caught on a security camera.
    Link needed.

The cops are typcially put on administrative leave, while they attempt to cover up the incident.
    More exaggerations without evidence.

It won't happen on the one a couple of days ago, though, because the mother is raising holy hell, and Quanell X is getting her a lawyer, and holding press conferences. Her son is going to be a rich man. Beatings are par for the course here.
Do you always generalize this much or is it a gift?

You have no idea what happened when he pulled over or if he resisted.

Hell, I haven't even seen you admit he was driving illegally yet.

Please show us in the law the police are guilty until proven innocent.

Doesn't matter, presumption of innocence is on the individual, not the militaristic branches of the government. The cops should be suspended with pay till an investigation is finished at which point prosecution/further punishment can be issued if necessary.
Which is what happened. But once they are they are now defendants subject to the same rights you are giving the "victim"

and on that link they only have 5 incidents going back 30 years. Hardly justifying danarhea's outlandish claims of once a week.

I'm always skeptical of anything Quanell X is pimping.

But to danarhea's point, the HPD doesn't have just a stellar reputation down here. I'm sure you've heard of the cluster**** that is the HPD crime lab. Whether or not they're in the news for kicking someone's ass I can't really speak to, but they do seem to get in more than their fair share of trouble.

Anyway, we will see what happens with the investigation.
