Terrorist attacks decrease in Europe

When Britain was trying to deal with the IRA the States actually allowed them to recieve money through NORAID.
They became the most powerful and skilled terrorists in the world.
Where were you when WE needed you...oh you hadnt had a terrorist attack on American soil then , had you?

Actually, we didnt "occupy" various countries in Europe. During WWII, Europe was conquered by Adolph Hitler and the Nazis. We liberated Europe and only spent enough time in european countries to drive out the Nazis.

You will find various cemetaries of American soldiers throughout Europe to confirm that fact.

Don't even pretend we didn't help you.

Pan Am flight 103. You bastards released a terrorist who killed 259 people mostly Americans.

And he's still alive.

Don't let your anger fog your vision. We did save your butts in WWII. If it hadn't been for us, you would be speaking either German or Russian right not.

The fact that Germany declared war on the U.S. is no reflection on us, it just shows how out of touch with reality the Nazis were.

Yes and you gave money to Irish terrorists that killed our men, women and children( about 600+ I believe) and two of those went to the States and shook hands with Slick Willy

I do find that some Americans can become extremely defensive and seem to accept nothing less than their superiority over everything that is not American

I have nothing but respect for the fine military men that gave their lives in WW2.
However there are many other graves with other military men in Europe and Asia who I respect too.
Dont get me wrong mpg, I am not disrespecting the American military, I am saying that the governments of the USA look after the USA and are not in the business of saving other nations butts.

Angry Beaver,

The fact is, the Nazis DID over run Europe despite the best effort of the BEF.
The British force was sorrounded at Dunkirk and only heroism of Britons from all walks of life enabled them to rescue a sizable part of their army. However, they did lose all of their equipment with the exception of small arms.

Britain didn't return to Europe until they joined Americans on D-Day. By that time, the Russians had already begun to turn the tide against the Nazis starting with a victory over the Nazis outside of Moscow.

Rub your eyes and look at my post again.

The Nazis did not over run Europe ( please refer to atlas) Britain is in Europe.
The necessary resources and men were gathered in Britain to launch the DDay landings .

Yes we lost a great deal of arms at Dunkirk but we still had a huge royal navy( far bigger than the Germans) and a great many planes..hence the bombing raids and what is known as the battle of Britain.
The Russians took on the best part of the German army and held its own with the help of resources from the US and Britain..whether it had actually turned the tide at that point I would argue against.
I would argue that the Russians had as much input into the defeat of theNazis as the USA but overall the USA was fighting two wars at the same time( the British were too but by then they were in a very junior role compared with the States and Russia).
Britain, USA and the USSR were pivotal in the war against Germany without any of the three the Germans would have prevailed.
The USSR took on the greater part of the German forces and the USA fought both the Germans and the Japanese at the same time.

The British were a declining empire even before WW1 and its stand against the Nazis bankrupted it.
The USA took all the resources it could from Britain in return for arms and food etc before it finally was forced to join in .
For a nation aspiring to be the dominate world power it was the correct move.
But you didnt save our asses..

Our government did no such thing and neither did I. And they never condoned even for a second what the IRA did. To pretend they did only shows how completely ignorant you are on the subject.

YOUR government released a terrorist and a murderer of nearly 300 people. It played an ACTIVE role.

Your dishonesty is incredible.

Yes they did.
They stood by and watch as NORAID poured money into terrorist coffers and slick willy shook hands with two known IRA terrorists even before the good friday agreement..I may be wrong, it may have only been one terrorist.
About the same as the Queen meeting Osama bin Laden at Windsor.

You are the one who is woefully ignorant of your governments part in helping the IRA.
