We'd hook you up with some World of Warcraft and you'd have your pin after one night.

The level of violence is low and obviously fake.

Social skills are a must. Manners in Trade chat, how to ask for help from a max lvl 'toon, how to take harsh criticism from less than civil players and learn what you can from it while letting the rest roll off your shoulders, offering compensation for help/goods even if you don't have much...and my personal favorite, helping out in the n00b aria by giving away gold and "runs" for free.

You will learn real life knowledge about your computer as we show you how to apply addons and write macro code; how small adjustments to your computer's hardware enable enhanced game play, from graphics to team-speak to resolving lag issues.

Last but certainly not least, you will learn how to work as a part of a team as we work through various fights in the raid. There are strategies and you will need to do specific tasks ate appointed times, and those tasks and times can change without notice. It can be very fluid.

Your final qualification for your badge will be to help someone else improve their play.

Yeah, you would have your badge in one night if you are motivated.

Naw World of Warcaft is boring. Besides I think Barrens chat would pretty much disqualify everyone.

You can turn off any chat channel.

    "/leave channel1" or "/leave general chat".

At this point I'd rather be tying knots than grinding.

If we were going to bring you to a raid, you'd be set up with an 80.

No worries about you selling oll the crap and deleting the toon, either, 'cuz GMs can fix all that

I wonder how much Nintendo donated to the Scouts to get them to make this a merit badge!

Seriously, you guys are soooo naive... This is clearly a ploy by the video gaming companies to use the Boy Scouts of America to promote their products. LOL

That's actually all kinda true. I can't wait for the new expansion to come out so there's some new content though.

And you base this on what evidence? Calling others naive for actually looking at the evidence and sources, then making a pronouncement based on zero evidence is silly.

So, you actually think Nintendo is merely an altruistic corporation out for the betterment of mankind?

    I call that naive.

I suspect, that instead, Nintendo's aim is to use any and all means to increase their profits and expand their consumer base. Making nice with the Boy Scouts is good business for them.

I think the Boy Scouts has lost their original vision. They are scrambling both for sponsors and members. Boy Scouts are passe...
