I get a very strong feeling that you've never even been to the coastal areas of Louisiana.... and no Bourbon Street doesn't count.
The people that live on that coast have been through a hell of a lot worse than this oil spill and they will still be there fishing ten years from now.
And you clearly have no knowledge of me and "where I have been" nor what "I have seen," so can that crap, it's irrelevant.
Whether "the people that live on that coast have been through a hell of a lot worse than this oil spill and they will still be there fishing ten years from now." or not is yet to be seen. There isn't even a VIABLE PLAN to stop the bleeding any time soon yet, let alone stop the damage that has already and will be increasingly happening.
This is an ecological nightmare and no amount of minimizing by oil industry apologists will change that.
