Gulf of Mexico spill may hit coast this weekend

this thing is an environmental disaster

it's still bleeding at a precipitous rate, there's no stopping it, and it's likely to leak faster

it's gonna hit the EASTERN coast of florida

for EIGHT DAYS obama did nothing

You mean the president is responsible for leaky oil wells?

the president is responsible for being president

how 'bout another trip to iowa?

LOL!

by coming out for drilling last month, president pie-in-the-face SURRENDERED his GREEN CREDENTIALS

What exactly did you want him to do, put on a wetsuit himself and fix the leak? The experts are on the case on this situation, and there is absolutely nothing that the president could do in this situation.

For the record, I said the same damn think about Bush/Katrina. However, way to adopt the weakest possible argument from the opposition and make it your own. You can always be counted on for that, at least, Prof.

his job

lead

You are aware that we have national networks for communication and data right? Why does he have to be in a specific location to lead?

because it doesn't look good

ask the times

just wait til the sunday talks are done, he's gonna get savaged

Oh, so what matters for you is that he provide sufficient facetime to appease those of you who feel that he should be leading on site, even though he has neither the skills nor the qualifications to do so, and has sent his best people on site to handle things?

Yeah. No offense, but I think you're full of crap. If he were on site, you'd be criticizing him for making a political appearance when there is nothing he can actually do.

So, noted and dismissed for the hollow drum your comments are.

Oh, so what matters for you is...

no one but you cares what matters to me

it's the people of the gulf that count

unfortunately, obama's in iowa

campaigning

LOL!

and it's not MY comments that are gonna sound hollow to you...

just wait, keep your ears open, i think you're gonna hear quite a bit

about obama

and HIS katrina

sent his best people on site to handle things

he didn't send anyone until DAY EIGHT

instead, he kept a PHONE LOG

LOL!

indeed, on DAY TWO his coast guard admiral dismissed the whole thing as "residual"

Ahhhh, I knew you knew he DID something before day 8. I just wanted to wait for you to spew it out. And you did. Your bashfulness must have kept you quiet, ehh?

He was on the phone with BP executives, Gov. Jindal (sp?) and his military leaders. This, to all other normal people, is known as doing something!

Thanks for your admission.

LOL!

indeed, on DAY TWO his coast guard admiral dismissed the whole thing as "residual"

Based on what BP execs were telling him. They lied, or were mistaken .

It's really hard for you to admit reality, ain't it?

I hope he does and sends BP a bill for their F up.

This could do BP in. They are going to be on the receiving end of a humongous bill. Will be interesting to see what's left of them when this is over.

I hope he does and sends BP a bill for their F up.

that'd be quite an improvement

over going to iowa to "criticize senate republicans for blocking proposed legislation to tighten regulation of the financial system," to "convince voters before the midterm elections that his economic policies were working despite the high unemployment rate," to "extol the benefits of the economic stimulus plan..."

it'd be a big step up compared to going to michigan to warn the grads about "extremist" critics of big govt who might just find in their "off base" way that "perhaps violence is justifiable"

that's politics, not leadership

and in times like these...

tsk tsk

Did we amend the ex post facto enumeration of the constitution?

"After the fact, especially a law that makes punishable as a crime an act that was done before the passing of the law and that was innocent when done. Such laws violate the Constitution of the United States."

The foes of Obama often ignore the constitution and it's principles.
