Memoir by George W Bush to be published in November

Actually, by definition, none of the "libertarians" who thanked you are actually libertarian. Real libertarians are not in favor of capitalism and are closer to Anarchists than republicans. So don't let Americanized versions of words confuse you.

Actually, I think it's your confusion about what libertarians stand for. Against capitalism? Please. Closer to Anarchists than Republicans we may be able to talk about, however. Republicans here in Dixie value personal liberty only as far as it extends to making money and buying a Glock. The rest, not so much.

What difference does it make how many damn books Bush read or didn't read? Or how big they were? How is this story even "breaking news"!?

President to release memoirs!!! Historical first!!! Read all about it!!!

So lame and childish...

I didn't start the damn thread and I wasn't the first one to bring Obama into it or how many books the Shrub read(s) or whether he was in a reading contest with Rove either so why jump me?

I don't think people are "defending" Bush as much as people are attacking the undeserved denigration of the education of the former president.

I think they are merely pointing out he's not all that bright. Which seems pretty obvious. This isn't about politics my friend. I know it's shocking to some, but some of us don't take sides in the silly Democrat versus Republican big government fest. In terms of smart the dude is Palin with a dick.

"I" started this thread. This was news "today". THAT makes it breaking news. Just because some right wingers don't like the kind of discussion that arose at the mere mention of Bush's name should tell everybody something. If people don't like the thread... geeze Louise, don't read it. Is that such a hard concept to understand:confused:

But, some people, we all know them, just can't let a thread about Bush go. So, they lambast it with personal attacks, name calling, etc. All without one single fact to support their whining. None of that behavior never does anything for their argument... if they even have one.

I disagree, libertarians by definition should not be for a system which imposes authority on others (workers) or which denies fair compensation for labor when the worker is forced seek employment instead of direct exchange.

It is hard to argue with someone who is absolutely convinced of their angry rant.

Will he fill in any missing time from his National Guard service?

There was none he was aiding in a campaign in Alabama with approval.

Will he admit his "No child left behind" was a colossal failure as it actually caused more work for our nations teachers due to more testing and being hugely under funded?

The bi-partisan No Child Left Behind program which passed 384-45 in the House and 91-8 in the Senate?

Will there be any confessions on his lies that caused us to invade an innocent country?

There were no lies everyone thought that the NIE was accurate and that the reasons listed in the AUMF were genuine.

Will he admit invading Iraq was his plan even before he took office?

Evidence or it didn't happen.

Will he confess to ignoring Clinton's heated warnings about Bin Laden when he first took office?

Bush took Clinton's suggestions and implemented them and even went further.

Will he tell us why Ashcroft starting flying on private jets just before 9/11?

Ashcroft never stopped using commercial flights in fact his wife flew on September 7th 2001.

Will he tell the truth about Cheeney's and Rove's and Libby's conspiracy to out a covert CIA agent and why he never fired anyone after he told the nation he would?

Richard Armitage not Rove, Cheney, or Libby leaked Plame's name.

Libertarians support the idea of self ownership and that the product of their labor is their own and nobodies else no employer can force an employee to work for them, the employee must enter a voluntary contract with said employer for that contract to be valid.

sure, sure, you all make really good points

but this is the chapter i'm most looking forward to reading:

Will he tell us why Ashcroft starting flying on private jets just before 9/11?

LOL!

I don't believe it. Where would they find a semi-literate ghostwriter?

Moderator's Warning:
Alright, first batch of thread bans given out. If people want to continue to derail this topic or throw out personal attacks be my guest, but consequences will follow.

It appears that the laundry bills of the left are going to hit the roof. I am sure W will have as much a hand in writing this book as Obama did his big seller

Given your concern I suspect you voted for the decorated war hero in the last election rather than the ticket that had zero days of military service including a guy who had as many deferments as Dick Cheney.

Yes, I voted for Kerry.
