Gun rights advocates rally in Washington, Virginia

When Obama comes after your gun, let me know.

Meanwhile, you'll be busy giving The Obama a pass.

And you'll continue to have your gun. Yet you'll still be strangely obsessed with this.

"Strangely obsessed" with a liberal President that openly wants to ban guns, has voted to that effect, and lies about His posiiton on guns in order to get elected?

How is that 'obsession' in any way 'strange' for someone on the pro-gun side?

He stated that he won't. So far he hasn't. He's already President.

What. Do. You. Want?

EDIT: I think I figured out what you want. You want Obama to try to grab your gun, so you can get mad and say I told you so and hope it hurts his chances for re-election. Sorry he's disappointed you so far.

This is you playing down His anti-gun position again.
No, he's stated that he would but he knows he cannot, right now.

So far he hasn't.
And there's no reason to think that this will not change.

And so, as asked before where is the "strange" in the "strange obsession"?

EDIT: I think I figured out what you want.
That's your take? Try harder next time.

When he actually tries to take your gun, let me know.

That is akin to saying, I will go to the doctor only after the cancer is terminal

Yes, and his hoplophobic statist anti liberty actions in chicago tell us all we need to know.

and I suppose that you don't have any specific quotes from an indipendent source as usual !!

lol = "hoplophobic " is that fear of Hopalong Cassidy ?

Jeff Cooper coined the term "Hoplophobe" to describe a person who lives in fear of an inanimate object. The Hoplophobe does not recognize that there is a living, breathing human being in possession of the inanimate object. (See: Bad Gun - Liberals attack the gun issue.) Therefore the Hoplophobe chooses to have a relationship with an inanimate object rather than with the sentient being in control of the object. Such a person is, by definition, irrational. Such a person is, by association, insane.

Part of the problem with hoplophobes, is that in their focus on the weapon used in a crime, they fail to understand a fundamental truth:

There are no "dangerous weapons", only dangerous men.

(and he remains dangerous even if his only weapon on hand is a brick.)

We need criminal control, not gun control.

or that guns in the hands of honest citizens DECREASE CRIME and that is the only group that is denied gun ownership by gun control laws.

Thus gun control INCREASES CRIME

With any gun control laws that have ever been passed. Has an honest citizen ever flat out been denied the sale of a gun?

Yes. in chicago you cannot buy a handgun. same in DC until recently. in california, all sorts of guns are banned for sale

merely saying hey you can buy a single shot rifle and thus you can buy a gun is specious

just like telling a Baptist he can attend a Roman Catholic Mass but not a sermon from a Baptist Preacher.

thousands of people were denied buying guns by the brady bill based on bad information. some had to go through all sorts of machinations to be able to buy a gun.

and none of that crap really made anyone safer save criminals

Interesting. What sort of machinations are we talking about?

hiring an attorney, filing Freedom of Information requests etc.

sounds messy. I can fully understand peoples frustration then. I mean I may disagree with having a gun, but if its in your constitution, then I guess you should be able to get one.

Are you opposed to a backround check before buying a gun?

Nope even though it technically violates the Shall not infringe

since it does not really interfere with someone excercising their rights

the problem is lots of legitimate people get delayed which is a constitutional violation in my book

Why do you disagree with people having guns>

I don't disagree with people having guns per-say. I personally don't own, or want to own one. I'd love to go down to the range and fire some off, I have weapons training from British Royal Air Force Cadets. I guess in some way, especially here in Canada where shootings in homes are rare, if I pulled a gun on a burglar, the chances of one of us dying may dramatically go up if he panics. You're average Canadian criminal does not have the intent of harming you when he enters your house, but at that point it can turn into in his mind a kill or be killed situation, and you would hope runs out the house, or pulls a gun of his own or knife.

Thats a trivial situation and I've typed it now so I don't want it all to go to waste.

People have the right to defend themselves, if they feel a gun is nessecary, then I suppose they are entitled to it. It just boggles my mind how unbelievably massive all your bills have to be, my god!

Bill for gun control

Rule 1 - Have a criminal backround check, if it passes here's your gun.

End of story.

Welcome to the state of NJ, where with the swipe of a pen, not only were citizens denied the sale of certain guns, but many instantly became outlaws, owning weapons that based on cosmetics were now banned.....

I owned a Marlin .22 at the time. I was an outlaw. :doh
