Re: Gun rights advocates rally in Washington, Virginia

Having studied the ARC for over 30 years, I have noted that one of the tactics of this group is to constantly hurl the term paranoid at those who call out the schemes of the ARC

Yet facts exist proving that no one is paranoid. Britain registered handguns and then banned the entire lot of them based on ONE NUT killing kids at Dunblaine in 1997. Florio banned thousands of semi auto rifles in NJ after dems pushed for registration (replete with promises that the registration would never be used for confiscation)

California and NYC also used registration lists for confiscation as did Australia

You buy ammo and hide guns when the country elects a black president. You're paranoid.

When you have some actual facts that Obama is coming for your legal handguns and firearms, let us know.

    until then, you're paranoid.

Confiscation of what? Illegal hand guns. People in CA still own as many guns as they can afford--trust me, I live here.

Re: Gun rights advocates rally in Washington, Virginia

In 1992 Bill Clinton and Al Gore were elected president and Vice President. Their prior records did not indicate a malicious hatred of gun ownership. Clinton had been pictured shooting ducks with a semi automatic benelli shotgun and Al Gore had been an A RATED NRA senator for most of his career. The speaker of the house, Jim Wright was also an NRA A rated congressman. Yet, that administration passed a gun ban that caused 17 round glock magazines to go from 15 dollar a piece in 1993 to over 100 dollars in 1995.

I was a top level IPSC shooter shooting Craig Custom Para Ord guns in limited and on EAA's Gold Team in Open. normal capacity magazines were necessary to compete at the master level in that game and magazines for those guns quadrupled in cost due to the clinton gun ban.

Those who did not stock up before the CG Ban took effect had to pay thousands of extra dollars to compete.

So, when we have a presidential candidate who claimed that all handguns should be banned, running with a VP who was rated among the three worst senators by every pro gun group and when dealing with a SOTH who also was an F rated congresstwit by every major gun owner group it was SENSIBLE for people to stock up on stuff that was banned by clinton

Of course people like you think anyone who owns a gun is paranoid in the first place but the real mental illness is denying the obvious and ignoring history

As to california, you cannot buy lots of stuff we can own legally here in Ohio.

They even make California legal AR-15's that have a FIXED Magazine rather than a detachable one. Half the handguns advertised in SHOTGUN NEWS say

    NOT FOR SALE IN CALIFORNIA

    here check this out

    Austrian Glock 22 .40S&W Police Trade-In Pistols

(not for sale in California with 15 round magazine)

    or

DS Arms STG58 FAL 308cal Rifle

Not for sale in several blue states including california

TurtleDude showed some pretty good examples.

Also are these people just telling the big lie and hoping that no one will question it ?
How is a lie? The states most of these liberal politicians come from have the most anti-2nd amendment laws in the country. So why the hell is it unreasonable or even paranoid to think that these same people from these anti-2nd amendment states might want to do the same for the rest of the country? Calling 2nd amendment advocates paranoid is like calling the parents of fallen soldiers paranoid for thinking that Fred Phelps might come protest at their funeral or its like calling a guy who lives in a high crime area paranoid for putting an alarm system in his house and bars on his windows.

"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murder is less to fear"

All the Treasury Secretary has to do, is redefine the term "sporting" and people could lose access to a great many firearms.

That's why so many people are serious about this.
I was discovering that life just simply isn't fair and bask in the unsung glory of knowing that each obstacle overcome along the way only adds to the satisfaction in the end. Nothing great, after all, was ever accomplished by anyone sulking in his or her misery.
