I think that you are correct that Murtha was not particuliarly corrupt in comparison to others. . What he wasapapealty a master of was that he knew how to game the system. Not sure that he was the ear mark king but word is that he has molre than his share.

I was just making the point that criticism is not necessarily negative, for example one could posit a positive judgment upon a piece of artwork and they would still be offering a criticism on said work. "Critic" comes from the Greek kritikos which simply means "able to discern".

The only thing that would make that more insulting to the military as naming a Army base after Jane Fonda.

depends on type of ship - aircraft carrier are usually for big names --- if a president it depends who controls congress. We even have an aircraft carrier named after a Senator USS John C. Stennis ... he was Armed Serviceschair - since just after the Civil War ....also

also Congrman Carl Vinson had a capital shipnmaed after him

GEORGE Washington finally had a carrier named after him . yet I thinK The Reagan was named before that .... OH WELL GEORGE LOSES !!!

Fonda was such a tremendous traitor that you can hardly logically compare Murta's rant to what the Jane did. By making the comparison of Murtha to Fonda you are making the evil that Fonda perpetrated to be diminished.

That comparison is about as innane as the woman lib freako who complained that a billboard advertizing a strip club in CT as "rape".

Please do not diminish the eveil that Fonda did by way overly exaggerating the Murtha quip.

Oh please. Muetha publicly accused Marines OF MURDER WITHOUT EVIDENCE and REFUSED to apologized for it even after they were exonerated.

He willfully and knowingly aided the terrorists propaganda machine by airing unproven charges and concluding our marines were murders before seeing one shred of evidence.

What he did was far worse than Hanoi Jane because he brought legitimacy to Islamic terrorist propaganda.

To a certain degree I can understand Fonda siding with the Vietcong, after all she was a pinko commie hippy piece of shit scumbag so she was siding with her fellow communist.Just like many hippy scum did in the 60s by fleeing to Canada and organizing so called anti-war rallies to destroy the war effort on the US side. That said she is still a piece of **** traitor who betrayed this country and should hanged.I will never buy her movies because I do not want none of my dollars going to her, nor will I even illegally download her movies because I do not want to contribute to what ever ratings or popularity or satisfaction that someone is still watching her movies. The only reason she got away with betraying this country was because she was a famous celebrity and when she ever dies she better keep her grave site a secret.


Murtha on the other hand was a marine and basically back stabbed the military right in the back by falsely accusing some military service members to toss the salad of anti-war scum for votes, a Judas basically. Yes what Fonda did was ****ed up as treasonous and much more worse than what Murtha did. The ship could be nicknamed the USS Iron Porker and could serve alongside its sister ships the USS Benedict Arnold and the USS Jonathan Pollard

It almost certainly is several feet from the dock actually, and rises fairly high, though I have no idea how high. There is also a watch where people go on and off ship(and why can I not think of the name of that spot).
