DA: sex ed could get teachers arrested

So far, we have one link that says it, "might" help and another from the CDC. IOW, no one can prove that sex-ed reduces teen preggers.

I hope that's not the best you can do.

The CDC link proves it. And you've shown us NOTHING. Time to put up or shut up, apdst.

I don't have to prove anything. You're doing it for me.

Sex-ed has been soooooooo effective, that the teen pregger rate rose 3% and PBO cut $150 million from the sex-ed budget. Even that dumb ass knows it doesn't work.

I don't have to prove anything. You're doing it for me.

Sure you do. But, as usual, you make an assertion, and then refuse to substantiate it. Probably because, as usual, you've got NOTHING.

Right. It rose because of the idiotic abstinence only sex ed. which has been proven to be ineffective.

Do you have anything, apdst, or are you going to continue to make claims that you can't substantiate?

Good try, but you're done. Here's a knife and fork.

How is he the one that is done? You are the one that are making claims and aren't backing them up. He is the one that backed up his claims.

And as usual, apdst produces NOTHING. And as usual, he loses the debate.

What does that make you, apdst, 0 for 9 million?

If you can't back up a claim, which you obviously can't try not to make the claim. Makes you look foolish.

You've been skewered. Congratulations.

You're done, too, but I only had one set of utensils. Maybe the good captain will let you borrow them when he's finished.

You just admitted that sex-ed doesn't work. OMG!!!

You can't teach kids how to ****, then expect them not to.

That's how apdst debates. Makes a false claim, refuses to back it up (mostly because he can't), and then claims victory when everyone knows he's lost. It's his way.

I never did that. I identified that sex ed DOES work with my link, and I identified that Bush's abstinence only sex ed didn't work, hence the increase in teen pregnancy. Comprehensive sex ed DOES work. If you think it does not, show us a study that demonstrates this... something I have been asking for and that you have REFUSED to provide.

You said right here that sex-ed doesn't work:

You said right here that sex-ed doesn't work:

He said abstinence only sex ed doesn't work. Comprehensive sex ed does ,however, show much better results than abstinence only or no sex ed.

You said right here that sex-ed doesn't work:

Read EXACTLY what I wrote. "Idiotic abstinence-only" sex ed. Comprehensive sex ed works fine... that is what was studied in my link. There is plenty of information out there that shows that abstinence only sex ed was ineffective, but that comprehensive sex ed was effective.

So, where are your links that show that sex ed in general increases teen pregnancy? Make sure to denote the distinction between abstinence only and comprehensive sex ed.

Show us something more than comprehensive sex-ed, "might", work. Thanks in advance.

Still NOTHING, eh, apdst? Refute my link with your own.

Attempting to elevate the discussion....

Do certain comprehensive sex-ed programs meet with greater success than others? I guess I'm asking what is core content and what is extra. Are there certain materials where, when left out, hinder the success of a program and is there content which has no effect on the program's success whether they are included or not?

Sigh. Fine I will find another source. Oh look:

Echoing the findings of several earlier individual studies and "meta-analyses," the report concludes that sexuality education programs can be successful in preventing teen pregnancy and, moreover, that encouraging abstinence and teaching about contraception are not incompatible. Specifically, it finds that comprehensive sexuality education programs that urge teens to postpone having intercourse but also discuss contraception do not accelerate the onset of sex, increase the frequency of sex or increase the number of partners, as critics of sex education allege, but they do increase the use of contraception when teens become sexually active.

If you are wondering it comes from: Report Says Sex Ed Can Reduce Pregnancy, Jury Out on Ab-Only

So now it is my two sources to your zero. Care to step and show show us something?

From what I've read, programs that focus on both abstinence AND contraception, including both physical and emotional issues in relationships and sexual activity seem to be most effective.

I think if you read the source I just posted some of your questions will be answered.

"Might work" is still 100% better than what you've produced which is approximately "zero".

He's shown it "might work" and CC has provided a study basically saying it does. You've provided nothing.

So far "Might" is better than "nothing".

You want to teach kids how to ****, then insist that teen pregger rates will go down. You can't be serious.

"can", and, "might". Where's the source that proves that it does?

Massive fail!!

You have zero concept of how studies determine trends based on statistical analysis, don't you?

Why don't you just try to refute their points without a bunch of cartoonish chest thumping? You know, point to a study that at least says it might not work? Basically, you're just clawing and scraping your way out of the hole you dug for yourself as it is.

Still dodging, eh, apdst? Still producing NOTHING.

Link to anything that proves your position because so far, all you've done is demonstrate your massive fail in this thread.

More foolishness, demonstrating that you don't even know what a comprehensive sex education program is.

So, where are your links, apdst, or are you admitting defeat?
