States Suing EPA as Agency Issues Regulations to Combat 'Man-Made' Global Warming

People on the right clearly support dissolution of the United States as an entity. They are, after all, in favor of "smaller government."

I realize this is sarcasm, but isn't it sad that some rhetoric has actually reached such extremes? People seem to demand endless pragmatism for their own political persuasion, but prescribe absolute dogmatism to their opponents.

We've had the coldest winter on record. Floriday citrus fruits have frozen on the vine, but some idiot will say that's because of global warming. That's the biggest line of horse **** I've ever heard.

Please learn about how global warming impacts weather before talking out of your butt. If I feel like I, I'll try to find an article I read that talked about global warming and how it makes winter colder.

Sorry aps, but the science is too flawed with too many ambiguities to even come close to conclusiveness. The fact is that data is so skewed that everything would have to be retooled and redone to make anything close to a definitive statement either way.

Pretty much. I think part of the problem is just how massive an echo chamber the 24-hour cable news channels and blogs have made. A single report gets repeated thousands of times, and something repeated often enough inevitably becomes the truth. Conservatives have heard the "Obama = Messiah" meme so many times they actually believe that's what liberals think. They get hammered with "health care reform = socialism" so much that they actually think purchasing insurance from private companies is socialism. Meanwhile, many liberals believe that the tea partiers are basically the same people as these extremist militias or the KKK.

And then they come to a debate forum and post those views as if it accomplished something.

Its not that we think puchasing from private companies is socialism, its that we think being forced by the govenment (or any entity) to purchase insurance is socialism.

And then we come to a debate forum to sharpen our thoughts and debating skills, the better to defeat said socialism.

Anmd the mainstream media ain't an equivalent echo chamber for liberals. Next think you know, we'll see charges of racism and bigotry being levied against people opposing Obamacare, cap-n-trade, etc...

Whoops...what, you mean...that's already happened?

:doh
