These sick people voted to damage his business. He isn't denying them care, he is just telling them to go somewhere else. Sure it's a tad immature, but I support the statement he is making.

That reeks of a liberal mea culpa. Now if I ever see a thread where a Democrat is being hammered for a borderline non-issue and you don't post with a moderate condemnation, I consider you a sinner by omission.
My omission in those threads is compensated for because I don't participate on partisan attacks on Republican figures. Since I consider political immorality a necessity conjured up out of the dramatic sentiments of the American people, attacking any of its manifestations is redundant. If I ever go to those threads, it is only to point out how unrealistic people are being. Mostly, I try to discuss political logistics.

Unmanly? Really? What a red herring. Why not just say that all anti-Obama people are impotent.
Do you have an objection that isn't just an emotional response? I don't consider my reasoning to be astray and have no reason to do so just because you are unhappy with it.

Wow. Just wow. Seriously, warn me before you post next time so I can grab a glass of water. If you were any more dry and coarse, you'd be sandpaper. You got bent the hell out of shape over a joke. Amazing.
My comment wasn't directed at you and I had no way of knowing you were listening in, so expecting me to give you a warning is pretty unrealistic.

The jokes people make implies something about their character. That this man and not someone among all the people who agree with him took this specific action, in this specific way, in this specific situation, means something about him, and I am interpreting that.

Furthermore, both your reading, your responses, and your participation in this forum are voluntary. So the authenticity of your complaint is dubious at best, especially since you aren't actually addressing the argument; just complaining that I shouldn't have argued.

Lastly, your response was so sparse in content and style that if it were food I would starve.

He is standing up for what he believes. These brainwashed people need to wake up and see the fruits of their actions and what is to come. Many blindly believe that this bill means everyone gets covered and America will become some healthcare utopia. I approve of this doctor's message, but I think his method is immature and may not be the best way if getting his point across. Although it did get media attention so I'm not sure about that. This healthcare bill is not friendly towards doctors or anyone in the medical field.

If my doctor posted such a note, he would lose my business forever.

Well then in your opinion is this man a man of principal and not money? If he is willing to take cuts to profit in order to voice his views?

I would have to know the demographics and economics of his area, but my opinion is any reduction in customers from among Obama supporters would be off set by Tea Party types, either because they will be more enthused to see him or because they are already the most prevalent ideology in his area.

so then, you do not project there will be a doctor shortage when the additional uninsured become eligible to see a physician on a routine basis
you don't recognize any looming inequity between supply of medical specialists and the increased number of patients for them to be able to see
it has been my experience that when the demand for my services outstrips my ability to fulfill that demand, i can increase my prices to dissuade the surplus customers from wanting to buy my services
for doctors, isn't that a good thing?

People will lose their insurance over this bill. And many sources say the uninsured will not be insured or guaranteed insurance. Some people just can't afford it and some businesses will not be able to afford premium plans that the law may require.

I will have to find a source, but what I have heard is that this bill forces doctors to move to areas that don't have enough medical professionals. Essentially robbing a doctor of his/her freedom to live where they want to or to be near family and friends. It regulated the medical industry, why do you think so many doctors oppose this? Only big insurance and pharmaceuticals like this because the bill works in their favor.

In theory it's great, but it's ultimately a masking for a "cap and trade" effect to happen in health care, where the ultimate bully is calling the shots. Nobody in their right mind will think that the power monopoly of Washington will allow for supply and demand to set prices. Once they realize that legitimate doctors are going to gouge, they will set up fly-by-night methods to flood the marketplace with "doctors" who are borderline inept and couldn't hold a candle to a real doctor. Think of it as a "No Child Left Behind" scenario in the medical field. All that piece of junk legislature did was attempt to squeeze more crap through the grinder by removing important mandates and requirements for teachers, and artificially reducing the measuring stick of the American public school children's scores to make people think that kids have improved in base fields of study, but really did nothing or actually got worse.

But the administration didn't think that through. Their policies will clearly cause a massive increase of demand for health services while causing an almost as massive reduction in supply of qualified medical personnel to field them. The problem is that Obama isn't acting with a shred of foresight, while almost anyone can see this problem coming a mile down the road. We're a couple years away from breaking your leg and being taken to a South American medicine man or a guru on Main Street.
