I was discovering that life just simply isn't fair and bask in the unsung glory of knowing that each obstacle overcome along the way only adds to the satisfaction in the end. Nothing great, after all, was ever accomplished by anyone sulking in his or her misery.
obama on march 1 announced he would "consider" FOUR gop ideas in his pig of a bill
1. tom coburn's proposal to use undercover "patients" to root out m and m fraud from inside
2. ending the cornhusker kickback
3. ending the gatoraid exemption for brother bill in florida
and (my favorite):
4. FIFTY MILLION DOLLARS CASH for the express purpose TO STUDY (LOL!) tort reform at the various state levels
Obama to incorporate GOP ideas in health plan - Health care reform- msnbc.com
#'s 1 and 4, to my knowledge, never became part of the law
of course, a couple days after announcing his "considerations," he went about trying to DEEM his passage

The doctor has every right to put that sign there as long as he isn't actually refusing anyone. However, it is ALSO the right of people to criticize the doctors signs as well.
The doctor is acting like an ass.

As far as what Bush did or did not know, we'll have to agree to disagree on that one. For I am one who believes now, as I did back then, that his manipulation of the media and the cherry-picking of his facts was a carefully orchestrated maneuver to lead our nation to war with Iraq. However, I do conceed, that there were many gullible politicians, on both sides of the aisle, who fell for his bull**** and went along with his plan. The oval office lying in such a serious matter seemed beyond comprehension to some folks. But, like you said, hindsite being 20/20, I would hope we all know better now.
My point was simply, people agree with polls when it agrees with them. I Googled RCP (since that is an "average" polling site,) trying to find a day to day chart with the approval/disapproval ratings to no avail. And I have simply run out of time. If you can find any, I would be interested in knowing.
But here is some propaganda I was able to find Googling. I cannot attest to their validity, however.

However, all that being said, I will be the first to admit, across the board, that most every poll I have seen always tips in the disapproval side. The days I remember it being reported on the approval side can be counted on one hand. Which brings me back to my original point and conclusion. When the polls favor someones ideological beliefs, the poll stands valid. When it doesn't, the poll is written off as invalid. I have seen both sides do this. Surely you can agree.
Thank you for your civil and honest debate. I have to scoot now as I have a date with a lake, canoe and an ultra-light Shimano. If you want to pick it up later, count me in. In the meantime, have yourself a fine Texas weekend and keep your powder dry.
