Curiously you do see me cheering at every time I hear an IRA person is shot dead, because to me they were and still are terrorists.
They trained with various Muslim Terror groups in various Mid Eastern and North African Nations, there group was supplied with money and armaments by the Terrorist Ghadaffi of Libya.
There excuse was so far as I can understand it a desire to share Power with the Protestants in NI, but instead of using the ballot box they did what all terrorists do.
It is understandable imo that they eventually resorted to terrorism and it has to be said the IRA did recognise the importance of not deliberately killing civilians so did give warnings before their bombs went off.
Of course they did eventually get the vote but by that time both they and the protestants had all lost so many they had lost sight of everything.
Now Northern Ireland is, apart from the odd agitator trying to stir things up, peaceful and people are coming to terms with what they did.
The Healing Process is probably no keener seen than that Martin McGuinness and Ian Paisley, two previously sworn enemies are frequently seen in Parliament chuckling together so much so that they have become known as 'the chuckle brothers'
I've seen a better photo of them whispering together as they chuckle but this is the best I can find today.

Oh, and I think the IRA's biggest financier was the American public.

George Monboit "Neoliberalism is inherently incompatible with democracy, as people will always rebel against the austerity and fiscal tyranny it prescribes. Something has to give, and it must be the people. This is the true road to serfdom: disinventing democracy on behalf of the elite."
Russia is going to increase its security madness now, just like the U.S. did. Their government is loving this. More excuses to reduce freedoms.
