Tea party protesters use racial epithet against Georgia's John Lewis

Demonstrators outside the U.S. Capitol , ( reports appear that they were ) are TEA BAGGERS) who were totally mad over the proposed health care bill, shouted "nigger" ( I am quoting the article) Saturday at U.S. Rep. John Lewis , a Georgia congressman and civil rights icon who was nearly beaten to death during an Alabama march in the 1960s.

The protesters also shouted obscenities at other members of the Congressional Black Caucus ..

It is sad that the Tea Baggers who try to tell us that they are somehow "patriots " fail to behave in an intelligent, sane, or human manner.
If Tea Baggers continue to behave like that they will eventually reflect upon the Tea BAG movement and sane humans will eventaullay reduce support of the Tea BAG movement.

That was the real disgrace of yesterday and the behavior of those Tea Baggers reflected upon the majority of them since the maority of the Tea Baggers did nothing to stop much behavior. !!!

    sad sad sad !!!

So what, they have every right to be pissed. I don't condone these actions but you can't say the whole tea party movement is this way. If I remember correctly there were fringe liberal groups slashing tires on election day on vehicles with Republican bumper stickers.

Regardless, the atrocity committed by the Democrats is nothing compared to a racial word of vandalism. They essentially raped the country and smacked their constituents in an arrogant, shady fashion.

See, this is a problem we have on both sides lately. It needs to stop being "I don't approve, but...", and become "I don't approve, period". This does not just extend to Tea Party excesses, but excesses on both sides. We need to take things back from the assholes.

By saying "but" I was not going into a justification of their actions. I was saying you can't judge the whole of the Tea Party movement by what the actions of a few people do. I don't condone their actions, period. However, these are actions done by individuals and the whole movement isn't like that. No one says every vegetarian throws paint on fur coats or vandalizes meat factories. You can't say every liberal is like the ones who slash tires and deem everyone ignorant before their "enlightenment." Likewise, you can't judge the whole Tea Party movement based on the wrong actions of a few very pissed of immature adults.

Democrats, this is as smart as it gets for your kind.

Regardless, it doesn't matter. The Tea Party Movement was huge, and it sent a very loud and reasonable message to politicians and those in the White House. But the Obama administration and Congress have already shown they don't care and are not listening. Nothing the Tea Partiers have requested has been granted; it's almost like Obama is waiting to see what stance the Tea Partiers will take on a particular issue, and then he will opt to do the exact opposite in response.

So by trying to dumb down any debate by making it personal and attacking the Tea Party just shows readers what type of intellectual lemming you are. Your insults to the Tea Partiers shows everyone that you have no for anyone else but those who fully agree with your own opinion. It's a sad reality, to be honest. But the saddest part is that nobody is listening to the actual message the Tea Partiers are trying to get across, and the country simply trolls on like lemmings following a path of slow economic destruction.

America is not the same country it once was, just ten years ago, five year... heck, since yesterday. The socialists won, and the country will be crippled for it with no way to stop the downward spiral and path we've clearly taken. It's a sad day in America...

First of all I did not say that the Tea Baggers did not have a right to protest. Yes this is American by God and the Tea Baggers have every right to be wrong and they really have show us lately that they are real good at being wrong. I did NOT say that the "whole tea party movement is this way" what I said is that these actions by the Tea Baggers reflects babdly on the Tea Bag movement. Fringe crap parts of many parties and movements do bad things and it should not paint the core movement but it does reflect poorly on the core movement especially if the core movemnet leaders and fellow travelers support such racist behavior.

It was my recollection that the story of the tire slashing was proven false just as was gthe story of Obama supporters writing on the forehead of a Palin or John supporter. Remember that it turned out that the bufoon girl wrote on her own forehead backwards as she used a mirror.

Whne fringe fools and buffons do something that reflects bably upon a party or movement the real leaders need to condemn such an act or the impression will be that the party or movement really supports the fringe fools.

I find it a dad hypocritical that you are upset about them saying "nigger" when you call them all by the offensive term "tea bagger." True these actions reflect badly on the movement, but they are the very small exception, not the rule. I think more is going on that pushes the Tea Party movement forward, not backwards.

Regardless of slashing tires or whatnot (which I did believe happened) we do know about voter intimidation done by the Black Panthers and the ACORN scandals. What I am saying is that a few pissed off immature adults acted like children having a fit. They have every right to be mad, but this is not the right way to vent their anger.

Ill informed, ignorant, and foolish people have believed for over a century that the "socialists" have taken over.

When child labor laws were enacted bufoons called that a socialist law becasue it hurt the "right" of factory owners to hire whoever they wanted.

When Social Security was enacted in the 1930's ill informed people called that the "end of America as we know it".

When the GI Bill was proposed Republican Senators and some Rep congressmen called it a "socialist" plan since all sorts of lazy riff raff and sons of "low life " workers would "go to college" and squander the resources of this nation. American will never be the same if sons of "low life " workers would "go to college" . Yup those Republicans were right the country changed, a middle class deleveloped and we saw the best economic increase ever.

When the Civil Rights law was passed racist yahoos said that it would "ruin America" and destroy what this country is and Black would rape all White women and Blacks would run amok and God forbid the country may elect a Black president some day. OMG the coutry will be ruined since we have Civil Rights. LOL

"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murder is less to fear"

    Cicero Marcus Tullius
