Tea party protesters use racial epithet against Georgia's John Lewis

Actually the term libertarian was coined by a french anarchist. "Classical libertarians" are left leaning, anti-statist libertarians that are much more heavily focused on worker relations and things of that nature as opposed to government control of everything. The same way Libertarians are "classical liberals", Liberals(that are are also anti-statist like progressive_libertarian and me to an extent) are what you might call "classical libertarians". Libertarian in the modern american sense has been bastardized to just be a fancy way for to express very extreme views of free-market economics whilst under the guy of pro-liberty and personal autonomy etc.

So in other words, socialists calling themselves Libertarian good..... liberty loving free market libertarians are extremists?

Well, you can say all Democrats are liars if you want, you're not above craven things like that. But you can check with the Capitol Police, who detained (but did not arrest) someone for it. I believe reporters witnessed it too.

So you can't. Just time just say so.

Where's the tape of the Gettysburg Address? that didn't happen either, huh?

Yes....exactly the same thing

I cannot be arsed to explain contemporary as well as classical political paradigms to people such as yourself. Read "Chomsky on anarchism" et al

[ame=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Libertarian_socialism]Libertarian socialism - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame]

If you are a true libertarian, a classical libertarian, you are a believer in the removal of both oppressive governmental legislation AND oppressive private sector heirarchies.

Free-market economics is NOT what classical libertarians would agree on. They are much more fair trade and left leaning in their views of egalitarian economic policy.

I disagree, you are quite "arsed"..... ::2razz:

I will to be honest. It's the only direct the world has at the moment. There is a HUGE misconception that leftism is synonymous with big brother and rightists want small and limited government.

If you actually dissect what libertarianism is, and means, you find that it traditionally has a more leftist slant to it, than this re-vamped Randian brand.

right..... good luck with that.

right..... good luck with that.

Simple wafer thin rebuttals and lack of constructive critique show that your knowledge of "classical libertarianism" and how aspects of libertarianism are on the political Left, are minimal at best.

Lack of caring/ lack of knowledge to understand political dichotomy and theory

:D

Do some reading, it never hurts to understand what actual political concepts are.

Na hombre, I've had this lame ass argument with the likes of idiots like agnapostate and other types who thought they were all clever about "socialist-libertarianism".

Liberal today does not mean the same as it did in 1776..... its this "liberalism" ie small government.... life, liberty, property "libertarianism" that is relevant today. not you or chomsky or anyone else proclaiming to be a "libertarian" who supports government infringment on property through economic control. I dont call it "liberalism" or "classic liberalism" because in todays world it is not relevant nor does it carry the same meaning.

I don't feel like having this lame argument again any more than i want to engage conspiracy kooks on bombs in the wtc. sorry.

Yes, because anarchist views support government control.

You don't feel like having the same argument because again, you cannot draw any rebuttals to explain why libertarianism in its origin IS NOT heavily predicated on the left's social and economic views.

how do you propose the following in your anarchist world...

1. controlling the economy?

2. Preventing the Good Reverend from becoming your warlord?

I told you why, but if you feel like making **** up to feel better about your self and your inane view, by all means, go for it.

Someone shot at Eric Cantor's office - but you can't believe that, because there's no video.

The Liberals have been using these tactics for 30 odd years and no one from the Left has yet condemned them. Now, when the tables have been turned, the Lefties don't like it.

Sorry if I'm having a hard time coming up with any sympathy for the Dems, right now.

Someone shot at Eric Cantor's office - but you can't believe that, because there's no video.

And now The Cantor is off blaming the Democrats for the violence after he and his ilk did nothing to ease the crap that the TP's have been spouting. Remember folks that this weekend a TP bozobunka had a sign that said something like "If Brown will not stop it a Br00wnie will ". Cantor, Boehner, and company should have stomped that out instead of mumbling some whimp assed statement asking the kids to play nice in the sandbox.

If you do not controll your own monsters how can you expect that monsters from the other side will not emerge and go after your monsters or yourself !!!

Bull****.

And two wrongs don't make a right. And all liberals aren't responsible for the actions of a few.

Don't be childish.

Where were you when people were claimning that they were ready to kill George Bush. Were you equally outraged and apalled? I'm betting, no.

Why now, are you getting pissed about it? What took so long?????

Yes, I was.

Jeez, you take the bait every time.

And I don't represent the entire leftwing. Get that through your skull.

You offer nothing to the debate but irrational, illogical, useless crap.

Uh, yeah! I bet you were.

Ya' know, I've been ****ing around on online discussion forums for 15+ years, now and I've yet to recall a single Liberal getting all torqued up when Betty Williams said she was ready to kill Bush, or when the dude in Iraq threw his shoes at Bush. If you can post that Leftist outrage for me, I would love to see it. Thanks in advance!

Go ahead, bet.

Ya' know, I've been ****ing around on online discussion forums for 15+ years, now and I've yet to recall a single Liberal getting all torqued up when Betty Williams said she was ready to kill Bush, or when the dude in Iraq threw his shoes at Bush.

Oh, well, if you say you never saw it on an internet board, that proves it!!!!

I'll remind you again though that none of this matters one bit because nobody is responsible for anyone but themself, and two wrongs don't make a right. So your entire premise is stupid and illogical anyway.
