Regardless of slashing tires or whatnot (which I did believe happened) we do know about voter intimidation done by the Black Panthers and the ACORN scandals. What I am saying is that a few pissed off immature adults acted like children having a fit. They have every right to be mad, but this is not the right way to vent their anger.
I do not know that the term Tea Bagger is "hypocritical " since that is the way I have heard them called and when I first saw pictures and videos of Tea Baggers protesting they they actually had tea bags hanging from their hats. I do not know if it was Salada, or Tetley but I do not think that it was green tea.

I did hear that the term Tea Baggers does have a urban definition but since I do not travel in that area I do understand that definition. My neighbor who has gone to Tea BAG protests called himself a Tea Bagger. I thought that he was bragging about his Salada on a string !!!

They were first called that by liberal news outlets who wanted to demonize the whole group and make fun of them. The Tea Party movement calls itself the Tea Party movement, not the tea baggers. Everyone knows what tea bagging means, and it's highly inappropriate. If you don't know what it means I'll just say it's reference to a very lewd and disgusting sexual practice.

Regardless, it doesn't matter. The Tea Party Movement was huge, and it sent a very loud and reasonable message to politicians and those in the White House.
    Loud - yes.

Reasonable - not by a long shot.

But the Obama administration and Congress have already shown they don't care and are not listening. Nothing the Tea Partiers have requested has been granted; it's almost like Obama is waiting to see what stance the Tea Partiers will take on a particular issue, and then he will opt to do the exact opposite in response.
How many times do I have to say this -- we don't live in a Direct Democracy. We live in a Republic -- you don't get to request squat. You get to vote.

So by trying to dumb down any debate by making it personal and attacking the Tea Party just shows readers what type of intellectual lemming you are. Your insults to the Tea Partiers shows everyone that you have no for anyone else but those who fully agree with your own opinion. It's a sad reality, to be honest. But the saddest part is that nobody is listening to the actual message the Tea Partiers are trying to get across, and the country simply trolls on like lemmings following a path of slow economic destruction.
Get it though your heads -- up until now, this uneducated, misinformed mass called Tea Party was a joke -- fodder for stand-up comics and political cartoons.

But when you start throwing bricks -- it's not funny because now we have to arrest you and do all that paperwork to throw you in jail with the rest of the criminals...

It's a sad day in America...
Indeed. When people start forgetting how elections work and how a Republic works... when they get violent because they didn't get what they wanted... when they get violent because they watch a rodeo clown on TV who fills their tiny heads with fear and rage...

    Sad, sad, sad....

I guess because of Fred Phelps all antiwar protesters must wish for the death of more US troops and hate gays.

"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murder is less to fear"

The Rhetoric has gotten real bad lately but let us be honest it is the extreme right that has been the most vicious lately. Rush Limbaugh called the Democrats who voted for "THE BILL" bastards. Some Republican needs to get a set of balls and tell Rus to STFU !!!

When and if a whacks from the left attacks the military when the Lefto is protesting the Iraq War that Lefto needs to be told STFU !!!

So yes I agree in principle that the excesses need to be slapped down.

yet only the honest intelligent person will ever admitt that there are dangerous whack jobs on both sides.

So to both fringes of whacks STFU !!!

Fred Phelps is a Christian.....like you....
I refuse to accept the view that mankind is so tragically bound to the starless midnight of racism and war that the bright daybreak of peace and brotherhood can never become a reality. - MLK

Fred Phelps says Christians like me and others are going to hell for not screaming hellfire to the fag nation and protesting the war/protesting at fallen soldier's funerals. What does that make him if he says all Christians who aren't like him are going to hell too?

    Moderator's Warning:
Tea party protesters use racial epithet against Georgia's John Lewis Enough with the personal bull****.
People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.
