The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not. -- Thomas Jefferson

I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them. -- Thomas Jefferson

My reading of history convinces me that most bad government results from too much government. -- Thomas Jefferson

To compel a man to subsidize with his taxes the propagation of ideas which he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical. -- Thomas Jefferson

Thomas Jefferson is not important according to the people who are going to be printing 80% of this nations history books. Thank Republicans for that.

It's not every day that you see a man renounce his faith before God, family, and his fellow citizens on national television. Wow.

Stupak actually voted against legislation THAT HE WROTE HIMSELF in order to pass this bill. I'd put a "LOL" after that, but it's so tragic, it's not funny.

Stupak stood firmly on the principles of his upbringing, his church, and his faith up until two hours before the point of true judgment, but he fell victim from the reaches of the fiery depths of the White House, and sold his soul to Obama.

And for what? A meaningless "executive order" that isn't worth the paper its printed on?

This man will rue the day he ever did this. As this bill gets challenged by 80 percent of our 50 states, and as the TV ads run come fall, including Catholics that will rail on their personal Benedict Arnold, he will very much regret the decision he made yesterday.

Stupak just became the poster boy for Obamacare, and the government-sponsored abortion that it will certainly encompass when this shakes out.

Hmmm The Iraq war comes to mind for that. I guess when the government kept financing the Iraq War they were being sinful and tyrannical.

The person wants to purchase an insurance plan from a private company that covers abortion. The insurance company would love to cover abortion, because abortion is way cheaper than pregnancy.

How do you define which dollars go where? You could easily argue "no, it's the 80% personal funding that covers the abortion, we'll use those subsidy dollars next time she gets pneumonia."
It's easy. Essentially, you buy two different policies.
