Came in late. What is the issue here? Surreptitious entry into this country is illegal. Doesn't take a brain surgeon to know what to do when it is obvious that one might be here illegally. Go Joe!!

That isn't an argument. You can be both against illegal immigration and against Arpaio for his illegal tactics. I have no problem if Sheriffs want to nab illegals that wind up in the county jail. I do have a problem when said Sheriff is so corrupt he faces two simultaneous investigations for illegal behavior.

Care to take a guess as to what the Maricopa County Supervisor's Meeting minutes say about that man's tactics? Care to take a guess where they squarely lay blame for their budget shortfalls?
 
I'd certainly never vote for the guy. He wastes gobs of the taxpayer's money, and his tactics aren't really that effective.

I am sorry 55 arrests, and that is supposed to be impressive?? How many arrests in an average "non sweep" night for a county that has 4 million people?

How much money was used to get these 55 arrests? I mean this is just screams massive waste and inefficiency, but hey, if you want to call that effective more power to ya, but it seems just the opposite to me.

about a quarter million for the pot, why is Sheriff Joe gonna sell it and add it to the coffers?

Again in a department of that size, it is likely not a significant departure from normal operations and seizures.
