"NEW YORK - Bernard Madoff, the swindler who orchestrated a multibillion dollar fraud, was attacked by another inmate at the federal prison where he is serving a 150-year sentence, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing three people familiar with the matter.

The report said that the attack occurred last December. After it, Madoff was moved to a low-security medical center for treatment, where he was treated for a broken nose, fractured ribs and cuts to his head and face, according to a felon currently at the prison in Butner, N.C."

Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.

Yeah, I know, this kind of thing really shouldn't be happening at prisons. But I haven't had a good night's sleep in a week and I'm having a hard time working up sympathy for straight-up predators.

So what happened here? Karma, of course. He madoff with people's money. Now others madoff with his butt. Moral of the story? If you screw others, you may end up being screwed yourself. :mrgreen:

What has this country come to!! A criminal is not even safe in prison. OMG watch what heppens next. Some bleeding heart will ask for a new hate crime to protect criminals.
 
there are some who believe bernie turned himself in to avoid being hit by the mob
seems they didn't appreciate being fleeced either
