I found this hilarious, but then again if the announcer had nonchalantly said any major race, it would still be just as amusing.

It was crude and inappropriate. Not as bad as making fun of blacks who were beaten and ridiculed for sitting at the front of the bus but still inappropriate.

A real man would have simply apologized for the mistake instead of turning their back on them.
Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.

How does color have any reference to Crayola? Black sharpies, white out, duck tape? Not relevant.

However, colored is a broad, old term which referenced everyone outside of the caucasion populous. Which includes me.

Explain to me how "people of color" differs from colored people. I know that the term was appropriate when I was young and is no longer used, but it certainly isn't another 'N' word.

Neither term you use should be used IMO. Black people and African American would do just fine when talking about black people. It is not because I consider them racist, but because I consider them ridiculous. I remember an e-mail that pretty much explained my thoughts on the terms 'Colored people' and 'People of color'. It read something like :

    You are white.
When you are mad, you are red.
When you are cold, you are blue.
When you are sick, you are yellow.
When you are scared, you are green.

    I am black.
When I am mad, I am black.
When I am cold, I am black.
When I am sick, I am black.
When I am scared, I am black.

But you have the nerve to call me colored?
It is simply ridiculous. Just use black people or African Americans. Saying I am colored but you are not would make you what? Clear?

I don't use the term "African-Americans" because I don't want to be presumptuous.
