If you support this, then you should support the republicans using this process with every single fcking bill, because their going to do that after they take back the house and the senate.
    And well they might.
BUT for the two years 2010 - 2012 I doubt they can get the President to sign whatever they pass.

right...so they are democrats in name only if they think spending 1.5 to 2 trillion an a health care gamble that wont come anywhere close to covering 10% of the people and carries provisions for government funding of abortion, is a BAD thing?

maybe its not health care reform they are opposed to but THIS obamanation?

What they are doing is creating a court battle. I doubt most libs WANT there to be an actual vote...so if they can sneak this past without normal constitutional procedure they will...only to have it go to the Supreme Court and be overturned.

Hopefully they are smart enough to see this and will at least give the citizens of this country a reach around.

Re: House may try to pass Senate health-care bill without voting on it

they will want to vote on a reconcilation fix (which they haven't even written yet and have to have online like yesterday...)

and the reconciliation will talk about the reid bill as if it has already been passed and signed into existing law

by a majority assenting to the reconiciliation which just kinda assumes the reid bill is law, well, that's good enough

everyone seems to be signing on to LANGUAGE which PRESUPPOSES, y'know, that previous passage

therefore, they must AGREE to it

that reconciliation fix will talk about reid a lot, very CONSPICUOUSLY and in the PAST TENSE, as if that which hasn't happened and never will has already occurred

thanks, you're hearing me, it's hard to explain

the point is---THEY'LL NEVER GET THE VOTES

if members won't go for the SENATE BILL, no way will they go for the DEEM

    it's DUMB

    y'know

    thanks

just look what THIS ONE DOOF has DONE to his party

look what's he done to NANCY

    and hundreds of others

look what he's done to THIS forum's membership

they're SHOCKED by their own leadership's TACTICS

    it is what it is

    party on, mr president

i don't think many progressives (at least around here) are with you anymore (at least on this, your raison d'etre, your only reason for rising each morn)

mr obama, YOU ARE ONE REALLY WEIRD DUDE, MAN

you just can't LET IT GO

    LOL!
