At this point I really dont care anymore, I want something to happen, I want to know that I can go to the hospital without worrying about "Are they going to kick me out because I have no health insurance?" or that I'm going to get a med student for a doctor because I cant pay. Walk into a hospital with no insurance, it's a REAL eye opening experience let me tell you.

    Warrantless wiretapping, PATRIOT, for starters.
Here in Louisiana they can't actually ask you for your insurance in an emergency room until they've fixed you up. They can't turn you down. But then again, my friends appendectomy that consisted of a 1 hour laproscopic surgery and 1 night in the hospital cost right at 20000. They'll fix you up, to their credit, but then you file bankruptcy.

Why should he campaign for someone that can't support his agenda? That's just what you do, support the guys that agree with you and help you get stuff done.

    erod scooped me, thanks

my points above are the BIG POLITICS of all this, by my view

there are several very interesting additional developments, but compared to the geo-strategies outlined above they amount almost to mere gossip

he-said-she-said, however, can be very revealing

for instance, yesterday pieface went to ohio to try to turn kucinich, who's too LIBERAL for the senate bill, and congressman john boccieri, one of the most sought after of the undecideds who opposes the senate bill for normal-human-being reasons

anyway, congressman john, like ms carnahan and armed services chair ike skelton in st louis, as well as 3 key fence-sitters in the keystone state (pennsylvania) the day before, DITCHED obama when he came halfway across country to see him

    wow!

    also, jason altmire---

pennsylvania moderate who voted with stupak last time has been going around the tv's a great deal (fox news sunday 9 days ago, cspan's washington journal last week) and he's been positioning himself as a super sought-after swinger who goes blah blah blah a whole lot

and after about a week of altmire's blah blah, everyone (myself included) began to conclude that that sonofabitch was gonna go with pelosi, he was giving every indication

well, sean on his radio show yesterday said just that, that altmire was a key swinger who'd been out there a lot and it looked like he was gonna stiff stupak and nudge up to nance

within the hour, altmire's office was calling the show to protest sean's pro-leadership characterization of the coward from keystone

    that's what you call PANIC

TODAY, tuesday, altmire says the speaker's desperate---she wouldn't be doing the things she's doing if she were anywhere close (word for word)

If you support this, then you should support the republicans using this process with every single fcking bill, because their going to do that after they take back the house and the senate.
Of course they are. Why do you pretend like repubs don't work the system too? I mean look at what they had to go through to get medicare part D passed.

The only way Pelosi and Obama can save any face is to put it in reconciliation, then blame the Republicans for obstructing the bill. But I don't think the Democrats TRUST Obama and Pelosi to actually do what they said they'd do and reconcile after the fact.
But demonizing it and stalling until the Nov. elections has been their plan all along so that's not news.

I read an article the other day that a lot of democrats don't want Obama to come campaign for them. They see him as doing more harm then benefit. So, this "threat" might not work out quite like he hoped.

That is NOT true. There was more contention among Republicans than Democrats in a Republican majority house towards that, a vote was taken, and the Republican majority voted WITH Democrats for Part D. It was a full vote.
Neither side in an argument can find the truth when both make an absolute claim on it.

    GOOD NEWS!!!

    !!!!!

natoma canfield, the woman whose letter obama has been reading to everyone who will listen (which does not include reps patrick murphy, chris carney and tim holden in PN, rep boccieri in ohio, ms carnahan and her brother in the loo, as well as influential and prestigious chairman ike skelton)...

ms canfield, whose heart wrenching tale about leukemia and a lack of insurance had US ALL worried like heck...

it turns out she's GONNA BE OK!!!

    !!!!!

she's currently receiving the best treatment available on PLANET EARTH

and, according to the executive director of patient financial services at the state of the art Cleveland Clinic, ms canfield will NOT BE LOSING HER HOME, after all

indeed, she will almost surely qualify for state and local assistance, assures lyman sornberger, the director

    whew!

    aint THAT a RELIEF?!!!

and GOOD NEWS all the way round

for dear ms canfield and her sweet sister

for concerned americans coast to coast

    for everyone

except for obama, it might be perceived (at some level) as BAD NEWS for president obama

    oh well
