It's not that I'm obsessed for it.
So, you admit that you're a little bit obsessed. That's good, we're making progress.
I don't understand why you rightees are so against it when that's what has been used for ALL terrorist convictions except for THREE (3).
Why am I a "rightee"? Just because I disagree with you?
You guys say these terrorists are not soldiers yet, you want them to be treated as soldiers in a military tribunal. They don't deserve the honor of being tried as a soldier.
So, they don't deserve the legal distinction of a soldier (I never said they did, by the way), but they do deserve the legal distinction of a US citizen?
Are you serious?!?!? Why am I debating this with you if you don't know who has been tried and convicted where? Anywhere between 90 and 300 terrorists, depending how you count them, have been convicted in civilian courts. Richard Reid, the shoe bomber, was arrested and was ready to be tried in a civilian court in Boston. Until he confessed, you didn't hear these whiney cries from the people of Boston over his upcoming civilian trial, did we?
You said we've tried 99% of terrorists in civilian court. I find it hard to believe that virtually every terrorist we've captured has been processed in such a manner, especially when we are holding several terrorists indefinitely or handing them over to foreign intelligence agencies for interrogation. This doesn't even take into account the fact that Obama orders extra-judicial killings of terrorists (predator drones) almost everyday. Why doesn't the far-left take exception to that?
You wish. Most people want the civilian trials.
Not even remotely true.
Two-thirds of Americans disagree with the Obama administration's decision to try Khalid Sheik Mohammed in a civilian court rather than a military court, according to a new national poll.

:2wave:
It's just that you rightees cry so loud over KSM being tried in New York that you've scared everyone. What in the world are you afraid of? All you are doing is acting like a bunch of lemmings following your idiotic Repuke leaders wherever they direct you to go. You don't even know why you're arguing what you're arguing.
I'm not afraid of anything. It's just a stupid idea.
Try the SOB right here and show the world we are not afraid to try ANYONE who attacks us. By switching to the untried and very new military tribunal we will be rolling the dice as to how this will effect us.
I have a better idea. Let's extract as much intel from him as possible using whatever means necessary and shoot him in the back of the head. Then we can take pictures of his dead body and circulate them throughout terrorist hot-zones with a message that reads, "You're next."
If you want to send the Jihadists a stern message, having a show trial in New York isn't really the way to do it.
