Re: Child escorted out of class by police for sitting during the pledge, mother outra
There's a reason I cropped out all the "force" nonsense from your post when I responded: Everyone already agrees that no one should be forced to recite the pledge.
What you did is go further than that and claim that there is no reason to have a pledge at all.
LMFAO
Really now? And what need would there possibly be to force people to pledge allegiance to a country that's supposed to stand for freedom and choice? The need for hypocrisy?
And you recite it by choice. Big difference between someone being forced to mouth some words and someone choosing, of their own accord, to recite something that has actual meaning *to them*.
You can stand outside your home and recite the pledge day in and day out for all I care. When you start forcing others to do the same, that's when the line needs to be drawn.
