Former U.S. VP Dick Cheney hospitalized with chest pains

Well, you know, whatever the hell a "true conservative" is....

It's just that most recently the Goldwater/Paul sympathizers/fans have declared this is the true conservative. In a way there is something to it, then at the same time, it's practically a declarative fad because people blindly assume that there was only one way to be a conservative.

Yeah, the whole culture is pretty ridiculous, if you ask me. It's funny how the right wing is looking for a leader and Cheney kind of steps in every now and again to fill the void, but in reality he's totally unviable other than someone to bash Obama on national security issues. I don't hear any of the "true conservatives" crying about Cheney's endorsement of TARP or Medicare/prescription drug expansion.

You are right on that. I can't stand Dick Cheney, but I could never stoop so low that I wish him ill.

I gladly stoop that low.

A minor heart attack? That's it? How disappointing. :(

And the guy that killed MLK?
Damn shame he didn't get Jesse Jackson, too.

Hey, at least we're honest.

What is it with you people and assassinations and nuking I see people posting this garbage everyday.
Context, please.

North Korea, Iran...

Assasinate putin, heard that one a while ago. Its prolly just a coincidence of what threads I read and when I'm on but I see it from enough people that I find it disturbing.

<darth vader dood posted the assassinate putin remark, i dont know if hes joking sometimes>

Well said.

But, heaven forbid, he turns for the worst, who is going to start the "Dick Cheney "Warning: this is not a R.I.P. thread" like they did for Murtha? :rofl

I dunno, but i'll bet you i know who wont have a tantrum over it. :pimpdaddy:

Murtha was a disgrace. His actions service members for his politics means he gets no respect from me.

Getting back on topic, you have to love VP Cheney.......He along with Gov. Palin upset the left more then anyone.....God bless them both...Keep up the good work Mr. VP......:applaud

When Cheney dies, I will make a 400 post thread on it. Mr. Reverend. Bring coronas. That will be a LONG day for these PC jerkoffs.

I always thought he would just pop in a thread to say something that would draw a crowd.

Thats what I figured, I wasnt sure if he was a comedian of sorts.

I'm actually glad he's not dead yet. All I have so far are Penguin and Darth Vader jokes. This gives me more time to work on material.

Don't neglect this when wracking your brain for creative material about Big Dick Cheney.

Hey, also..like..

Lieberman and freaking Palpatine.

It's freaking crazy, man!

I hope in the end it isn't anything too serious. A person's health is more important than his political views.

I need to go over to the John Murtha thread and do some copy and paste jobs... oh wait, Cheney isn't dead yet... Ah well, I can wait, it shouldn't be much longer anyway. :2wave:

Well, Cheney did not need to espouse ideals as much as President Bush did. In a way he was restricted from doing so, by nature of his position. He and his wife have already made clear what they think of America as great and greatest nation, but Cheney's work was really on the inside.

Yeah, I just like his demeanor as one that appears (to me) straight-forward and non-apologetic for being himself. I consistently see him bashed, but have yet heard what seems like a legitimate reason- just partisan wailing. He seems like a smart, shrewd business-type. That's much closer to my idea of a good leader than a people-pleaser.

Regardless of the labeling problem (and it is always a problem), you are correct. It is entirely possible that Cheney just wants free markets internationally, and if the United States can do it for its benefit, yippee.

Agreed.
