CBC News - Canada - Canada's last WW I veteran dies

Canada's last known First World War veteran, John Babcock, has died at age 109, the Prime Minister's Office says.

It won't be too long and similar report of the last WW II veteran will be make. The "War to End All Wars" was awful for everyone involved and the soldiers who fought it for us were everyone a hero, as are all our allies from every war.

We can only dream of what it must have been like to be a young man at war with all the poison gas and faulty or just plain bad equipment they had to deal with.

    I salute this Canadian hero.
