Fox's 'Family Guy' takes on Sarah Palin by appearing to mock her son Trig's Down synd

Re: Fox's 'Family Guy' takes on Sarah Palin by appearing to mock her son Trig's Down

Ohhhh...Wow. You proved a point.

Or - what is abundantly more clear - is that you didn't read what I was responding to; which was this:

"It used to be that politician's children were off limits."

So, I stated that Republicans used to pick on Chelsea Clinton and Amy Carter. Thus suggesting that people have been making fun of politician's children for at least a while.

So, who owns the EPIC FAIL?

Can I get you a mirror?

Save your energy. The more emotional (cursing & using all CAPS) and nonsensical (totally missing the point) an attack... is simply indicative of how accurate opposing comments are. It must hurt terribly for Palm Reader lemmings to have to defend one stupid antic of hers after another. Sad. Very sad.

You own it, Chelsea Clinton is old news, and no one cares. Did Chelsea and Amy have Downs Syndrome?

Were they politician's children, and off limits?

Let's stay on topic, and stop with the moral equivalency ploy.

Re: Fox's 'Family Guy' takes on Sarah Palin by appearing to mock her son Trig's Down

I don't watch Family Guy. It's not because the jokes are tasteless. It has to do with the rendering of the main character. It looks like he wears his balls on his chin.

:rofl:rofl:rofl

Re: Fox's 'Family Guy' takes on Sarah Palin by appearing to mock her son Trig's Down

The Palmreading Queen only raised this in trying to look like a victim AGAIN and gather more sympathy votes. I watched that episode and it did not look like they were making fun of Trig's Down Syndrome. Only Palmreaders Anonymous members would think that and then whine about it.

I wonder if she will be a quitter again like when she quit her office of governor?

UPDATE!

‘Family Guy’ Voice Actor Says Palin ‘Does Not Have a Sense of Humor’ - ArtsBeat Blog - NYTimes.com

One person who supports the “Family Guy” staff is Andrea Fay Friedman, the 39-year-old actor and public speaker who played Ellen in that episode. Like the character, Ms. Friedman also has Down syndrome.

In an e-mail message sent on Thursday to The New York Times, Ms. Friedman wrote:

I guess former Governor Palin does not have a sense of humor. I thought the line “I am the daughter of the former governor of Alaska” was very funny. I think the word is “sarcasm.”

In my family we think laughing is good. My parents raised me to have a sense of humor and to live a normal life.

....Oh my my, this gets juicier by the minute. Well played Family Guy. Well played.

I seem to recall McCain calling Chelsea ugly; and I was little, but I remember a LOT of insults hurled at Amy Carter.

Just sayin'.

Id really be interested seeing any examples of that and if thats the case Id say unequivocably...shame on whoever did that. I dont EVER recall insults being hurled at Amy Carter and Chelsea Clinton...really? As the first daughter she was attacked by McCain?

Salon Newsreal | A joke too bad to print?

But this new standard in the practice of journalism seemingly does not extend to other political figures, at least not media darlings like Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz. Earlier this month, at a Republican Senate fund-raiser, McCain told a downright nasty joke making fun of Janet Reno, Hillary Rodham Clinton and Chelsea Clinton.

The fact that McCain had made the tasteless joke was reported in major newspapers, as was the vain attempt by his press secretary to initially deny what McCain had done. But in several major newspapers, the joke itself was kept a secret. When McCain subsequently apologized to President Clinton, the Washington Post, in its personality section, noted the apology but said the joke "was too vicious to print."

Re: Fox's 'Family Guy' takes on Sarah Palin by appearing to mock her son Trig's Down

I seem to recall McCain calling Chelsea ugly; and I was little, but I remember a LOT of insults hurled at Amy Carter.

Just sayin'.

Another former senator who requested anonymity recalled an exchange at a Republican policy lunch. McCain turned on another senator who disagreed with him.

"McCain used the f-word," the former senator said. "McCain called the guy a ‘sh--head.' The senator demanded an apology. McCain stood up and said, ‘I apologize, but you're still a sh--head.' That was in front of 40 to 50 Republican senators. That sort of thing happened frequently."

"People who disagree with him get the f--- you," said former Rep. John LeBoutillier, a New York Republican who had an encounter with McCain when he was on a POW task force in the House. After LeBoutillier had openly tape recorded comments at a conference, McCain got the idea that LeBoutillier was secretly tape recording him.

"Are you wired up?" LeBoutillier quoted McCain as asking. "Of course not," LeBoutillier said.

"Prove it," McCain said.

LeBoutillier said he lowered his pants, apparently satisfying McCain that he was not taping him.

"He is a vicious person," LeBoutillier said. "Nearly all the Republican senators endorsed Bush because they knew McCain from serving with him in the Senate. They so disliked him that they wouldn't support him. They have been on the hard end of his behavior."

Andrea Jones, McCain's press secretary, did not respond to requests from NewsMax for comment.

Senators are leery of speaking on the record about what McCain is really like. Bob Smith described his behavior reluctantly. A former Republican senator listed Chuck Grassley, Orrin Hatch, and Pete Dominici, fellow Republican senators, as being among those who had encountered McCain's outbursts, but none of them agreed to be interviewed on the subject.

Most major media outlets have been uninterested in pursuing the subject. Virtually every media outlet ran Sen. Trent Lott's comment at a 100th birthday tribute to Strom Thurmond. As a result of the criticism over his remarks, Lott stepped aside as Senate majority leader.

But only a few news outlets, like the Phoenix New Times in Arizona and the National Journal, that ran an Associated Press story reporting McCain's 1998 joke suggesting that Chelsea Clinton was ugly and Janet Reno and Hillary Clinton were lesbians.

"Why is Chelsea Clinton so ugly?" McCain said at a GOP fund-raiser in Washington. "Because Janet Reno is her father."

OK...point made. but...in response...

1-No defense...tasteless. And according to dems AND republicnas...McCain is a major league A-hole. BUT...republicans called for him to apologize and he did.

2-There is STILL a world of difference betweeen a truly tasteless joke and the repeated attacks against Palins kids.

Re: Fox's 'Family Guy' takes on Sarah Palin by appearing to mock her son Trig's Down

Doesnt matter...didnt then...shouldnt now. NEVER an excuse to attack a presidents family. McCain is an ass. Really shocked the republicans made him their candidate.

Let's stay on topic, and stop with the moral equivalency ploy.

It IS on topic...and I think the moral equivalency argument applies.

For one thing...how exactly does Palin have the crediility to say..Rahm should be fired...but...Rush was just funnin...but South Park is bad...

Its sort of an all or none position unless you want to expose yourself as a not ready for prime time player.

Re: Fox's 'Family Guy' takes on Sarah Palin by appearing to mock her son Trig's Down

Somebody is trying really hard. Don't you have some PETA thread to troll or something? No room for conspiracy theories here.

I know its hard but try to keep up.

This country is center right. It has been for some time.

Obama was as far left as you can go. He didn't deny it. He embraced it. His promises were far left except for the lies about transparency.

So how does a center right country elect a man who promises everything they don't want get elected? Throw in his race and you have the answer.

No conspiracy theories here Hatuey. Its called logic. Try looking into it sometime.

I am always amused by the conservatve attempt to explain the election. It doesn't make sense to them -- how can people choose a competent, educated, charismatic leader when he holds positions that they don't? It has to be his race! There is no other explanation possible! :rofl

The fact that there are no surveys, polls, or research to support this crazy idea and plenty to show that it is not the case doesn't matter, apparently.

LOL Really. Did you even know Obama has the lowest ratings for any president in history for his first year?

How did that happen? Did he pursue any legislation that he didn't promise during the election?

So, explain it. How did this happen so quickly?

You know which two presidents had the highest ratings after their first year? That would be George W. Bush and George H. W. Bush.

You know which two were closest to Obama in numbers after their first years? Reagan and Clinton. Indeed, this article states Reagan was lower.

So the response to a president after his first year in office is a very poor predictor for the outcome.

And you know, if we're going to play around with poll numbers (and to get this back on topic), 71% of Americans think Palin is unqualified to be president.

A new national poll indicates that most Americans don't want to see an investigation of Bush administration officials who authorized harsh interrogation techniques on suspected terrorists, even though most people think such procedures were forms of torture.

Six in ten people questioned in a CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey released Wednesday believe that some of the procedures, such as water boarding, were a form of torture, with 36 percent disagreeing.

But half the public approves of the Bush administration's decision to use of those techniques during the questioning of suspected terrorists, with 50 percent in approval and 46 percent opposed.

Still waiting for someone to explain how his numbers dropped to record numbers for a president in his first year.

He promised a lot of change and not a lot occurred. Naturally one portion was going to be against him no matter what. Then, when his supporters felt he wasn't doing enough, they began to disapprove.

Again, the two presidents closest to him were Reagan and Clinton - two presidents who were elected with big agendas; agendas that would take time to pass and would naturally lead people to initial disappointment.

It's really not that hard to figure out if you look at it without foaming at the mouth about it.

Public Opinion and the Death Penalty

There goes that theory of yours :rofl
I know plenty of left wingers for the death penalty. How is that a left right issue? Sounds more like you saying people are single issue voters. How about some opinion on social/economic issues.

No. IS far left

Only in your fantasy world. He's not far left unless you claim yourself to be the right of Timothy McVeigh so that anyone in the center of you is considered far left.

You just compared a socialist to the far left. Do you not understand there is a difference?

I understand where on the spectrum people lay more than you seem to understand what a Nickname is. Socialism is on the far left of the ideological spectrum. That's why you calling him far left considering how far left Kuchinich is it just makes you sound unstable.

LOL You really think the country is the same now as it was in the 80s?
You're the one claiming the country has always been right of center.

I'm not the one making the moronic claim that the country hasn't changed in 30 years :2wave:
I'm not the one making that claim you are. You claimed the country has always been center right. If this was about race any black man would have won back then and now. So apparently the country isn't as tilted to the right as you think if enough people voted for what you claim to be a far left candidate.
