I'm sure it was nothing personal. Keep in mind that a generic letter needs to be aimed toward the average Joe, not the above-average-one.

As for Bayh, based on what I've heard about, and heard from him on the news, it seems like a loss of a decent man. Maybe I just don't know the whole story.

Sure, if one doesn't have the desire to serve, get out, but Bayh comes off looking spiteful and small. His timing should offend his Democratic constituents. He forced a short time limit on them to find an adequate replacement.

It's said the last straw was the jobs bill. Well, boo-hoo. If so, that looks even worse as it's not only impulsive but is also an "I'm taking my ball and leaving" scenario.

Should he ever choose to run for national office again, I'll remember this.

This shows the attitude that is growing from the controlling attitude of the White House.

    Controlling? How so?

    I'll explain my position further.

There are consequences for how one conducts themselves in their office. He could have left on a good note, pleading that his heart was not in it. Instead, as you pointed out, he threw darts.

I don't want a vengeful dart thrower in the White House.

    absolutely valid points

for someone like me, however, and for the vast majority of americans nationwide, therefore, evan bayh is of NO significance

except for how he relates to the OBAMA

    obama is significant

    and bayh just STABBED him

    hard

    right between the shoulder blades

    poor obama

just about everyone's taking their shots

yes, bayh did exactly that. the only way he'll achieve another elected office is to switch sides.

He may be tired of the lies of transparency and bi-partisan. He may be tired of ramming bills through without reading them. This the kind of control i am talking about.
