Fox News Poll: Most Voters Say Allow Gays to Serve Openly

That's Navy Pride's way of saying:

"You win, I was wrong"

I just get tired of saying the same thing over and over again....If you come to DP to debate you should have some kind of idea of the subject you are debating and sadly some on your side do not.......

No they won't. The COMMANDERS will succeed, including the Joint Chiefs, who also support getting rid of DADT.

Don't bet your house on it my left wing friend......The military establichment (the actual workers) are getting wind of this social experiment and they don't like it...........Theey won't fall on their swords for political correctness...........I went to mass on the USS Heny Stinson a CVN in port here in PSNS yesterday and talked to some Chiefs and white hats and to a man they don't like this idea at all.......

If you come to DP to debate, don't you think you should have evidence to support your arguments?

Evidence is important but when you have a thread that is dozen of pages long and the so called evidence has been covered over and over again and then to rock the boat someone who has not been keeping up with the thread or is clueless on the subject asked for a link or evidence it kind of gets old........

It did not use to be like that here in DP.............

He was a US soldier and US citizen. Regardless of what organizations he had ties with, he belonged to the United States. That makes him a domestic terrorist, and that is no small detail.

He is not a piece of equipment...He does not belong to anyone except Alquada........

What the hell is an alquada? Is that like an alpaca?

There is no AQ link with Hasan. Unlike you, I actually READ about it.

First, I have no "side". Both wings hate me equally. That proves my effectiveness.

Second, Who on the forum would know more about the active duty military than me and the other DP active servicemembers?

Third, I find it ironic...no hilarious, that YOU of all people are chastising me about debate.

I know I can't personally insult you due to the rules, but let's just say that you and creativedreams are in a special category all your own.

Everyone knows it.

If you took time to notice I mentioned no names in my chastizing of Liberals.......You responded so one can only assume you have a guilty conscience.........

I wish WS would re open..............

Well thanks for your concession.

PS I am not from "WS" I am from "Protest Warrior." :doh In fact you will see me in there Chicago march video protesting against the left, in support of the war no less.

The evidence is in your room..........

Lets see you did not know that Obama said this was not a judeo/Christian nation......you did not know that Obama did not call the attack at Fort Hood a terrorist attack........

Well Congrats, you are the only one in this country who did not know it..........

Don't respond to my posts any more....Just because you read To Kill a Mocking Bird in school does not make you smart......

That is not evidence that Obama's statement about this nation had anything even remotely do do with the attack or it's after affects as YOU implied.

Since you have provided nothing as far as evidence to support this bogus and seriously lame statement. We can consider the matter closed.

Much like NP, you fail to recognize the PC problem in the military is decades old. Not new. But you wouldn't know that.

Hasan became radicalized while Bush was President. I don't blame Bush. I don't blame Obama. I blame his cowardly chain of command that should have showed him the door five years ago.

I am sick of beating this dead horse with people who won't listen. Why won't you just tap out on this one? You're beat, son.

They couldn't because the liberals have made our government PC rather than efficient on internal problems.

If he took orders from Yemen he was a terrorist under their orders that is not domestic.

I don't know what definition of domestic terrorism you are going by, but even the military classified the attack as domestic terrorism.

Domestic terrorism: terrorism practiced in your own country against your own people

Furthermore, there was no conclusive evidence that he was directed by a foreign entity. It appeared that he was trying to establish ties with foreign terrorist organizations but there is no indication that he was successful and no such organization claimed credit for the attack.

As such, he was nothing more than a disgruntled US citizen and soldier who took it upon himself to act violently against his fellow soldiers.

It will take years.

And aside from your own personal opinion, you base this on what evidence?

Furthermore, why are conservatives so adamantly opposed to supporting their arguments with evidence?

It will take years.

Lieberman readies bill to repeal 'don't ask'

Hm...a few pages back you were talking about how this would take years to reach Congress. Then Lieberman opted that he would start a bill to push it. Then you suggested that Lieberman would wait a year. Now it is expected that Lieberman's bill will be before Congress by next week.

Could you do me a favor and suggest that it will take years for them to vote on it? If the trend holds steady, then your prediction would be great for ensuring the bill is voted on before the end of March.

Liar. You said the word "You" after using a quote block of my post. That would clearly indicate that you were talking to me. Really? That's all you got? Please stop lying on this forum. And don't use the "I'm old and don't remember" defense. That won't cut it.

The Military is still split on gays.

Military leaders chime in on 'gays' serving (OneNewsNow.com)

Lawmakers will press the military's top brass for the first time on whether they think it makes sense to lift the ban on homosexuals serving in the military.

Admiral Mike Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, has already voiced his support of President Barack Obama's call to repeal the 1993 law which says homosexuality is incompatible with military service, but on Tuesday, Army Chief of Staff Gen. George Casey and Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. Norton Schwartz will give their input to a congressional panel.

Elaine Donnelly"I don't know about the Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. Schwartz. We don't know what his opinion is," notes Elaine Donnelly, president of the Center for Military Readiness. "I am concerned because Gen. Casey has said diversity is the primary thing, so I'm not sure whether he will make a similar statement here or whether he will take a more rational approach."

Donnelly adds that Marine Commandant Gen. James Conway, who will testify on Wednesday, has already said he opposes changing the policy.

"I think the commandant will certainly address the issue the way it should be addressed," the military watchdog predicts. "And that is, 'How does this benefit the armed forces?'"

A year for military investigation of policy

Will it make it to the floor. So congress will not wait for the military investigation?

I doubt it will go forward without the military investigation which will include cost of the transition.
